We have travelled with the Sunlander beginning of this year, by accident we where not on the tilt train (which was broken on our original date of travel anyway) but on the "real" train. It was a great experience, next year we will travel with The Ghan from Darwin to Alice Springs I hope w'll have the same great train trip :) Cheers!

Posted my own clips on separate journeys on Tilt Train and Sunlander by way of a video response. I found both a great way to travel in Queensland.

Iam an Indian and totally agrees with narattor that railway people are salt of the earth. you would be convinced easylie if belonge to such a country who got a enormous vast lanscape also diverse. although i also admire swiss and european railways.

Der Schienenbus fährt weiter jede Woche, am Mittwoch nach Croydon und Donnerstags zurück nach Normanton. Seit Mitte der 80er Jahre wird ein etwas modernerer Schienbus eingesetzt.

I got the chance to ride on the little Normanton - Croydon train a few years ago.....it was an experience I will never forget....loved it.. I think it's still operational.

The rides better without the lights but I guess they did it because they were filming. The part I shit myself was that backwards drop
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-BJIozkboHqI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABw/GygcZ9weFMQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
They are normally are off
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DrFRwBXilMs/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAw/hJs0QB_fg6w/photo.jpg?sz=64
That backwards drop looks so much bigger and scarier with the light on
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-q75as8kEzvE/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACg/sM6dpVc8j_k/photo.jpg?sz=64
It isn't really scary irl. It just makes your stomach hurt a bit.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-RTvlROwOFpA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAFI/Pl2omxVdzlI/photo.jpg?sz=64
I had never noticed that spider before lol
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OsK8kNE4ghE/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA4/NXtZlLK6_lI/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Josh Zilka There was a Harry Potter attraction somewhere else, and instead of throwing away the giant spider, they figured that they might as well use it in a spooky coaster, where a spider is definitely welcome.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pEE4D_dEaIE/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAADc/hMECOToT9K8/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Kirstie Williams Hi! I actually live 15 minutes drive away from this theme park. They do still have the ride! It's a great ride and it would depend on how brave the small child is. I was too nervous to go on it until I was older. It's a lot scarier than this video shows as the lights are usually off
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
My first rollercoaster ride, I was about 10 and I remember being scared of it.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-upI7phi0IuM/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAZg/0nhq8G7aMOs/photo.jpg?sz=64

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-upI7phi0IuM/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAZg/0nhq8G7aMOs/photo.jpg?sz=64
