As a Bernie Sanders supporter, this is how I envision America.
Look at how clean the streets are, the healthy people, irrelgious,
developed, every social service FREE, happy people. I understand many may
be angered by the "dictator", but you cannot deny the video evidence that
N.K. is better.
All the "people dying of hunger," and "people escaped and say NK is like
hell," is pure propaganda put out my the western world.
Maybe we should look at North Korea and take a few tips.
#feelthebern
you're being brainwashed by the nk apologists. this is not what nk looks like, theres poverty and people live like slaves, this city is for privileged people, a part of the country that looks like heaven so foreign tourists come, film it and then the rest of the world thinks "wow nk is so nice, we've been lied all our lives!".
+성환윤 And What ??? North Korea my favorite country (very Pure and Beautiful country with wonderful People-Nation - Choson Saram)

I don't think people realize this is the only nice city... The rest are
full of poverty and homeless people and tyranny. Only people who are of
high power live in the city. The rest are basically slaves
+Overlander.tv Some people have a meltdown when they don't see that North Korea isn't as crazy as they've been told. Especially when they see so much normalcy, they can't handle it and lash out by angrily rehashing tabloid headlines.
I'm from Britain and I would love to visit the DPRK. I started off by being
a little against this country because of all the negative videos but after
watching and speaking to some more positive videos I would love to go. I
can't help been a little afraid though because of the tendency for them to
arrest and detain people. I'd still love to meet these seemingly lovely
people x
Bryan, I said "I was just a nurse" meaning that I have never studied politics and am not particularly aware of their foreign policies etc. in other words I'm just a person who has watched YouTube videos on this country. I have no special knowledge on this country at all. I think nursings a great profession but that training doesn't make me particularly qualified to comment on DPRK.
+Bryan Rodgers What's with the sufluric attitude Bryan? +Laura Mills said the following : " It's such a shame that all of governments can't sit down and resolve issues, although saying that, we can't ignore human rights abuses and corruption. I am just a nurse and don't have an answer for this. I wish I did. "I only retook her expression " I am just a nurse" and said "You may be "just a nurse" but your words are heartwarming nonetheless" It means she isn't a blimp on the political screen just because of her job position, she's a human with opinions and values and whatever her profession, her opinions will always be valuable. That's all it means.Bringing "You may be just a nurse" out of context may be offensive, but I'm sure your sister would've been on the context beforehand and see the positive nature of the intent behind. As for the other comment, I 'm open to satire but the disproportion between the nature of the humor, and the local reality is what I find disrespectful. I never said NK was paradise. Nowhere is paradise, don't kid yourself. I only said it was interesting to have an independent insight on a nation we know very little about. Any how. Take care man.Cheers.
+Laura Mills "You may be "just a nurse" . Wow I don't know how I would have taken that kind of comment myself...JUST A NURSE? My sister is a nurse and she would take offense if someone had said that to her.
+Om Be Really? I MEAN REALLY? Screw satire, fuck anyone who tries to make light of a regime that has been penalized for it's horrible human rights offenses. What the hell are you thinking, wait you didn't think. If anything we humans SHOULD make jokes about leaders such as Kim Jung Un. Sorry man but any mocking, and making fun of people who take themselves too damn serious need to be belittled through humor. You speak of disrespect for others, what do you call Kim's disrespect for his own people? He should be allowed to brutalize and destroy his own people if they don't act like his pets. You need to get out more often and REALLY see the world. I've been to NK, and it's not the paradise you think it is. Oh and your right what you stated above was a rant.
+Laura Mills Although governments are to blame, I find that releasing such a movie in itself is quite insulting to a population we have all decided to label as "them", as in it happens "over there", "they're like this" or "they are simply not human" . Deliberately going as to find this funny, and agreeing to participate in such a production, I find actors with such talent celebrating their own sense of disrespect of others quite disturbing in itself. I find that people have a responsability, and as a whole we do not have sufficient constructive thinking to be independent of our governments. Bah. It's a rant.
I've just read your post Bryan. I wrote my reply before I read yours. That's really interesting. It's a shame it appears so corrupt. That's stupid movie about Kim Jong Un doesn't help international relations though. Why make a film that would provoke them. We already know that they're paranoid because they have such a history of invasion and occupation. It's where our cultures disconnect. It's such a shame that all of governments can't sit down and resolve issues, although saying that, we can't ignore human rights abuses and corruption. I am just a nurse and don't have an answer for this. I wish I did. Xxxx
This is what I love about YouTube, you can speak to people from all over to world. I really wish we lived in a peaceful world where we could all get along.....wouldn't that be lovely. I wonder whether I would even be safe there. You here awful things about the DPRK and it's difficult to work out what is Western propaganda. I think Westerners forget that our governments serve us propaganda too, not to the extent that DPRK appears to do.......It's very difficult to work out what information is true about this country because they don't really let anybody in. I'm fascinated by this place though and I don't know why. Lovely to hear from you xxxx
+Laura Mills I am from Israel and also wants to visit the DPRK . Unfortunately we have no embassy of theirs in my country , as Israel never established diplomatic relations with North Korea. Still , Israelis are allowed in . Fortunately for you there is a N.Korean embassy in the UK .
+Overlander.tv It seems amazing to wander into a place that is so disconnected from the rest of the world. It is refreshing as well. Thanks for uploading such an enriching video. I also loved the paced down narration, that kept the viewer intrigued. Salutations from Montreal, Canada :) .You just won a subscriber :) Cheers mate.
+Overlander.tvDon't get me wrong there are some scary places to visit around the globe I don't deny that, but I found NK very creepy because of the minders, and those who minded the minders. I found NK to have an air of being in a machine being controlled by someone else. I find the people to be sincere, but those who live in Pyongyang are of an elite class that lives life much better then their brothers and sisters in the rural areas. You are not going to get mugged in NK, sexual attacked in NK, but you can be detained for what ever reason they choose, and used as a propaganda tool to get something they want. I truly feel for the rural NK's they are the ones who suffered, and are still suffering under the thumb of Kim and his elite class of people.
+Bryan Rodgers I found North Korea a safer place to visit than most of Central America for example. I got caught trying to film on the infamous fifth floor of the Yanggakdo Hotel. My guides were more likely to get in trouble than me!
I know you posted this three months ago, it's the first time I've viewed this video. As for being afraid about going there you should be. I've been there several times, and I've never been so frightened as when I had to go to the DPRK. I'm associated with a food UN food relief organization which I am not at liberty to mention, and going to NK is sad because there is so much pain and suffering being put upon the rural NK's, and scary because your minders constantly remind you that if you step out of line they WILL detain you, and we have all seen that happen already. If you feel you must visit the DPRK be ready to be paranoid, surprised and a bit frightened. The people there are of no threat, but the DPRK watches all tourist very closely, and know more about you then you think they may know.

From Beijing - Dandong then get off the train then get on the train from
Dandong- Pyongyang will be more economic than Beijing - Pyongyang.
And start the tour from Dandong- Pyongyang will be more economic than start
tour with the train from Beijing - Pyongang.
+l33g0 If you don't mind me asking what was your purpose in going to North Korea? Was it for business purposes? Or did you just want to travel there because you were interested in the country?
+Nurul J For us it took totally about 10 hours from Dandong to Pyongyang.Example of schedule:Departure from Dandong: 09:35Sinuiju: 10:45-14:15 (for us border clearance took about 4 hours at North Korean side)Arrival in Pyongyang: 19:30
+Noah Ward You have to book your tour and local guide beforehand. There are tour operators and travel agencies available online. We booked through a small travel agent in Europe.
+l33g0 this may sound like a dumb question, but when I get off the train/plane do I just look for my guide and go with them, or do I have to book for one??
Yes, it's possible. We arranged our trip through a travel agent in Europe. Please note that North Korea can only be visited by an organised and guided tour.
Inside North Korea (Part 3/3)
The next stop on VICE's tour of North Korean propaganda was The People's Library, this place is weird and creepy - just like everywhere else in North Korea.
Shane, and the Camera guys; that was the craziest freaking shiznit I have
ever seen! I am VERY happy none of you got into serious shit IN THAT
COUNTRY, yikes!!! Propaganda shit-storm parade! I have never seen so much
"they suck" and "we're awesome" framed quite the way that they frame it.
From my perspective, the U.S. does do that "we're awesome" thing too (I am
not an American), but at least with the U.S. I can relate to um, I dunno;
PEOPLE, CARS, POPULATED RESTAURANTS, REAL FOOD, TOURIST ATTRACTIONS THAT
ARE ACTUALLY FUN, AND NOT FEELING ALIENATED EVERYWHERE YOU GO!!! Oh, and
EVERYTHING isn't presented as propaganda against some other country: "We
captured this in 1968, blah, blah, blah!" Oh holy shit, get over
yourselves, it's only been 48 years or so since your last "great" U.S,
"conquest". Wow!
And if you are online, you'll know that you don't say anything. So If I read crazy ramblings, and make no sense of it at all, because it wasn't anything called English, that makes me crazy? Haha, What a moron.
+Jamie Bell Obviously, I am online. You, read the ramblings of an allegedly crazy person, then you proceed to tell said person that they are crazy, which is all-in-all, kinda crazy! You have fun sorting that out... ttfn!
