can you post a video of the unit powered up. I have read a lot of
complaints about the noise levels.
Z1 Auto CPAP: Sound Test
Many of you wanted to hear for yourselves the noise level of the new Z1 Auto CPAP machine when it's at full pressure. In this video, we demonstrate the machine ...
Could you do this demonstration with a decibel meter, please? You can get
one for free from iTunes for an iPhone. It's really hard to judge how noisy
this is, with the noise coming out of my speakers and not knowing how loud
your normal voice is.
So I own BOTH. An airsense 10 and I just bought the new Philips
dreamstation. Yeah some serious money but I don't put a price on a good
nights sleep. The algo on the the dreamstation in my opinion is 10 times
better and way way more refined. The airsense gave me a sustained Avg
pressure of 16cm, the dreamstation 13.4cm and I still slept like a baby.
Anytime you have a leak like while trying to adjust your mask the airsense
responds by blowing your face off while the dreamstation is much more
subtle. Here is a huge one, the Dreamstation is much more responsive. If I
turn on my side the airsense just continues to put out the same pressure,
the dreamstation will almost immediately notice the decrease in airway
resistance and significantly lower the pressure.
+Dr Dank Get an Auto (APAP). I like Respironics better. I think that they have a better algorithm. I haven't had the opportunity to check out the new DreamStation. In the process of checking out the AirSense10.
Great reply, Jason, and very informative video. Those of us who appreciate knowing what the machine actually does, rather then just what it looks like, will appreciate your videos.I would rather a dependable car, with less style, but a great engine, than a flashy car, which winds up in the shop all the time
I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and was prescribed a Phillips APAP
as opposed to a CPAP. I was fitted for masks (several) and chose the ResMed
Nano with a chin strap. I'm a stomach sleeper and it seems to hold a good
seal. Tonight is my first night to use it. I'm hoping and praying that this
will change me for the better.
Clarifying that the ResMed for women is automatic but just responds
differently to women. I have also heard that there is a newer model that
just came out but I'm not sure its a ResMed. Can you provide any
information on that one? I believe my MD is ordering the ResMed for women
for me. Also do you know what the cost of the machine is? Thanks
Hey, Donna, sorry about the long response time! Completely forgot to check this. The airview service should be available soon. They're working on a service that will automatically send emails and or text messages to you, and when that's available we will be carrying the AirView service. I'll make sure to let you know! Also, if you havent subscribed to our newsletter you can on the front page of our website, and that should also keep you up to date, because as soon as it is available we'll make sure to send something out.Glad you really like your machine. That's great to hear. Hope you're well.RespShop
+RespShop CPAP Ok thanks! I received my machine; ResMed AirSense 10. There was a card in my packet to sign up to be able to monitor how I'm doing and when I went online to sign up, the program isn't available at this time. Do you know when it will be available? I really like my CPAP so far! Been using it about a week. Just wish it were a clock radio too lol!
Hey, Donna, thanks for the great question! So the original s9 autoset for women did not have a different algorithm, while the new airsense 10 autoset does respond differently for women: women experience apneas differently than men, and the airsense 10 for her reflects that by targeting apneas earlier as they develop. The price for the autoset airsense 10 for her is $883. You can learn a little more about the product and all of it's features here: https://www.respshop.com/auto-cpap-machines/resmed-airsense-autoset-cpap-with-humidifier-p-850.htmlThe information in the copy will help explain a lot further about the algorithm for female CPAP therapy users. Let me know if you have any more questions, and thanks for subscribing to our channel, hope we make some more informative videos for you!
