Lol not much difference really. In my mind a diary is like a dry record of events. When I used to keep a diary it was just like recording the events of the day as if I was "venting" to a friend or something. These writing journals I kept, although they also tended to be quite personal and introspective, were more aimed at understanding the bigger picture and also I tried to treat it more like creative writing than just narration. So, I'd try to use interesting phrasing and things like that.

This is a great idea! I used to write in my journal everyday without fail. I started when i was about 12ish up until i was 16. Then when i left school i didn't really keep up with it. I want to start up again though. I had about 5 finished journals until my boyfriend moved in...then i shredded them :( I really regret doing that. Thank you for sharing this with us. It's always really nice to hear someone else's thoughts and feelings...and you wrote them so well!

I know exactly what you're talking about and it annoys me too. It has something to do with YouTube's settings and how I'm compressing my videos (I'm pretty new to this whole thing). I read up on it a bit and I've tried changing my settings but it's still happening. It doesn't sound like that on my original video file :( Sorry if it bugs you, I am trying to figure it out. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be really grateful!

haha, if i could only find my writings... ever since i was little, i loved writing and when i reached age 10, i write my first full length story lol. yes, it is a crappy one but what do you expect?? i was ten haha. anyways, reflecting on the things i wrote as a kid and the things i write now, so much has changed in a little time. ah well. i think i have one of those letters to santa as well..

This might have been made a few years ago, but I just love the coincidence that you started your journal series on my birthday. =3 I really do love your videos, and I also love the fact that you love doing them. =D If you had felt forced, I probably wouldn't enjoy them, because I'm a big supporter of encouraging people to do what they want to, not other people. Great vid and great idea. I keep a handwritten journal/diary aswell.. I use it alot, but it's in danish at very personal, so I wouldn't dare reading from it and you guys wouldn't be able to use it. But in a month, when I'm back home in my own appartment I might read some of the amateur poetry I've done...

I have a fat notebook full of journal entries :) their more personal so I'll probably never read em out loud. :p oh well writing stories and reflecting on my day and my feelings feel good.
