BMW E46 LPG conversion 330 lpg conversion, explaining how it works, LPG is half the price of petrol so is the only way to drive a bigger engine car like this.
Hello, we own a C200 Kompressor Mercedes, he used to take 13 liters of
petrol per 100km in the city, now he takes about 14 liters or LPG. Recently
made the modification. Cause of the cost difference its about 60% cheaper
on LPG, wich is great. I wanted to ask how long you have this LPG system,
and if you had any problems with it? And ofc, how many liters more does
your engine now take. Our Merc just added about 1 liter of LPG more then of
petrol.
Cheers
+plax102 Hi oyu don't really notice the power difference to be honest. i took the car round out local Race track Brand Hatch a few months ago as you can see from the video, i was red lining it all the way with no problems. Recently the LPG has got a bit rough i think one of the injector might need changing as it sounds more like an Subaru when on LPG but on petrol its fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhUQybJW3VMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhUQybJW3VM
+Dominic Madbull Well if you add weight to the car it will consume more liters, but in the end its 60% cheaper. In my country you can't go above 80 km/h anyway. Only on the highway/freeway which we have like 30km only :D So the top speed is about 80km/h legaly anyway. LPG is totally awesome, and after some asking around for quite some time, no one i asked had any problems with LPG. I+m planing on getting a e46 325XI and the first thing will do is add LPG to it for sure. And i saw a few of dyno runs, the car made even more power on LPG, but it is not recommended to push a car on LPG due to the temperature, everything will wear more, but if you have to push it, switch over to petrol and problems solved.
