UP Portland Sub: Mosier & Viento State Park

We now move across the river to the Oregon side where we see UP trains in 2 different locations in a 2 hour period, 3 eastbounds were filmed during that time. 1.

and saw a Canadian national engine on the UP twice in 1 day, and a Canadian Pacific once... so many rares I saw in 2 days... or commonly rare

When you say, for instance, a Spokane International grain train, do you mean that it's going to head up that line or is that a business its serving or something?

+PNWRailfan Going up the SI.  The SI grain trains can be identified by large numbers of Canadian-style hoppers as seen here, the majority of which are in 2 varieties of dark red or brown paint with large "Canada" lettering, some Canadian-style hoppers are painted blue for Alberta or green for Saskatchewan; the SI grain trains also commonly have yellow IC&E hoppers and grey SOO hoppers, both of the American-style construction.  These SI grain trains are symboled (either destination or origin) _ET or ET_ for Eastport, ID, which is the border crossing on the SI.

Hi, I was looking at your video when I noticed one of the engine numbers was the same in one of my videos as this one. Turns out that I caught the EXACT SAME TRAINS but further West of you in Troutdale. If you care about seeing these trains and what they were doing approximately an hour before they got to you, watch my video "Rail-Work in Action S1E4 - What's Going on in Troutdale?" (for some reason I can't paste the link so I had to put the name instead) Thanks for reading this, and if you did, for watching my video.Aside from that, let me talk about YOUR video. It's a very good video and I enjoyed watching it. I thought that it was really cool to see the trains that I saw, but about an hour down the line. I like the spot you chose too. Good job!
