Thanks JB..reminded me of my Granny's cooking..She was from Cameron Parish a Sells then a Sweeney...The only thing we missed out on was on Thursday nite it was her "private" Rib Eye nite cooked in a black cast iron non union pan. Her treat to herself..She lived to be 96 as well as my mother. No Body could cook wild duck in that cast iron kettle "covered".. in that same manner with onions and bacon fat as she...Yummmm..thanks for the memories.

Hey JB!! I got an email response from Pictsweet a couple of days ago. Jo Whitney from Pictsweet says that the crowder peas are picked in western Tennessee and in the boot hill section of Missouri. Today I got a letter in the mail from Pictsweet. It had a very nice note in it and several coupons for free Pictsweet frozen vegetables. These guys/gals are top notch!
