Being able to diagnose and fix issues with your own car is priceless. I take that back , I spent 145 dollars on a 1600 repair bill so not priceless. The 99 Ford ...
My 96 Saturn SL2 started making a loud clicking noise one day when I turned
on the heat. After researching the problem i found I had a bad blend door
motor also. I found a used unit on Ebay for $19.00 and was able to change
it out myself with the help of Richpin06a on YouTube (he is a Saturn repair
guru). Luckily the blend motor was behind the glove box door and not
terribly difficult to change out. I examined the defective unit I removed
and opened it up, one of the plastic gears had cracked and split and also
had a missing/broken cog. Seems to be a common problem with a lot of cars,
not just Ford.
man... I really miss your BOV vids where you fixed a bunch of stuff, that
you used to post a few years ago. Is it no more things to fix and update
or have you just concentrated on gear reviews and mc vids.
Still missing the sisters Toyota LC build vids and the engine swap
(diesel) plan for the scout.
Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Yep, I recently paid a Chevy dealer $600 for a similar repair. Had I known
it would have cost that much I would have done it myself. It was crazy
stupid price. The actuator alone was $269! I miss the old cables.
Nice job, brutha. I'm glad to see there are families out that still take
care of eachother. I say if you're the mechanic of the family then nobody
in the family has to pay $1600.
good job, having a wood stove in there is probably not doable. lol, we were
just thinking about lighting the old paint can heaters; some gotta be 4
years old by now.
Nice work. I'll send our minivan...I mean awesome man transportation
vehicle...up your way. We lost the heater in that too. That tp and alcohol
is a great idea.
