How to build a portable solar air heater with built in solar panel powered fan
In this video I show step by step how to build a solar powered portable solar air heater that can be placed in a window or taken on the go as well. I hope this ...
+Jack Rainbow In Santa Fe NM, US we get about 340 days of sun but enough of a breeze that it chills to the bone. This may well work here. I'm building one now.
well, it doesnt sound very usefull there, but in places like spain, italy or greece, were winters can be pretty cold but still sunny, you can colect the heat of the sun and store it better in the greenhouse
+yellosa what about where there is not that much sun, like England, and the days get very short in mid winter? Do you reckon it would be worth building a solar heater here?
if you use a solar powered DC fan, it would almost seem that during times of bright sun the fan would run faster, and during overcasts days not as much heat / light and a slower running fan.
+Tim Yorty I agree with you.. i'm just wondering if the cans would slow down the progression of the air flow to build up the hot air considering that one end of each can has limited number of drilled holes..

We do have 2 skylights in our kitchen. They work terrific. If we did not
have them, I would install 1 or 2 of those SolaTubes. I suspect that the
tubes do not radiate heat like the skylights do.
I resemble that remark. Nark Nark Nark. Thanks for the up lifting reply but son, I assure you that I am not. Looking for a solar powered wheel chair, that flies!+MissouriWindandSolar
Congratulations to all the winners! Jeff you can bet I sure will make a
video showing I received my turbine. Not only that, I but will follow up
with how I’ve implemented it into my existing system. Thanks again for all
the useful information and advice I’ve received on your YouTube channel.
“Missouri Wind & Solar rocks”! **does a happy dance**
Congratulations to you! Seeing all your post of encouragement to all made me root for you.. Was so happy to hear Jeff call out your name.. You sure deserved the win!
Yes I'm going to post a video on my system (Have a great design on a passive solar tracker I made. I've yet to see another like it and was made with intention to eventually be a self tracking system.). I show the hookup and explain the Hot water in a video for you. The 300 watt elements are the best for that. They manage to controll the system very well.
