what happens when you have to cross studs or there's a cat between studs? I've seen stupid inventions but this one takes the cake. Its ONLY good for what..... fishing from baseboard to header and THEN what? If it does anything else; please post it???

Calm down, Andy. It's easy enough to drill through fire blocks. This thing is awesome for fishing wires solo (once you've cleared a path that is).

@EPS5000 ok the datacomm kit its main job is to bring power in the back of your tv so u can hang the tv on the wall and u have a outlet on the back of the wall were u mount the tv.Now on the bottom u will have a plug that goes in your sergprotector now note u are not touching live wire at all this is a do it yourself kit .

I use monoprice as well..Good products cheap!!..Just make sure its well shielded wire for inside the walls!!..Monster is such a rip off!!..There is alot of better products for way less!!...Good info for the public,who is just starting thier home theater/movie room!!

@1quickgt FOR SURE monster wire is a waste of money ,i am glad this vid helped u and i hope this helps others too ,if we can all learn from tips and tricks on speaker stuff or what ever else entertainment stuff we have its will be good for everyone to learn .

To be honest, its not all about thick wire. Its about the shielding the wire uses. Because current flows around the outside of the actual copper stands, the better shielding the better!

Wonderful ! it really looks more beautiful that using "wire-hider" flush mounted along the baseboards. When sometimes it is not so easy to do along the baseboards, our semi-automatic gun will works.
