+CurlyPenny oh ok, is it like a strong hold gel or just light? like how long will it hold my curls? ( I have straight hair, i know heat is bad for hair, but i love curls. )
I've been using it for about a year now and trust me it's the best thing
that has ever happened to my hair, I've been cowashing too for the same
time and my curls are now beautiful, defined, shiny and been growing so
long! It is so much better to use this than using styling creams which are
sometimes super expensive and has lots of chemicals in them. I'm now in
peace with my curls after 19 years of being struggling with them. Really
truly happy!
I just found out about this channel and THANK GOD FOR THIS CHANNEL. I have
curly hair and I've never seen a youtuber with hair just like mine, and
teach me how to style it! So yeah you just got a new life time subscriber!

HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE FLAX SEED GEL (DIY Tutorial)
This is my first time making a homemade hair product and I am so excited about how it turned out! Check below for needed equipment and ingredients: ...
I didn't add a lot. When I made it in the past, I added a bit of castor
oil, olive oil, and vitamin E oil. This time I swapped out the olive oil
for the coconut oil (probably a tablespoon's worth), and the next morning
when I went to pull the container from the fridge, I saw bits of white
chunks floating in it. It didn't ruin the gel, per se. I just had to be
careful to let the hardened coconut oil slip through my fingers so that
only gel remained.
Great video..thanks for sharing. This is one of the easiest methods I've
seen. I'm definitely making the gel soon. Tip for buying flaxseeds: buy
from the bulk bins and not a whole bag (if you don't need the extra). I've
gotten a good amount for a litle over $1 purchasing from the bulk bins at
Whole Foods.
I've made flaxseed gel a WHILE ago and did not like the results because I
did not use a leave in and my hair was dry like hay (moisturizing my hair
is REALLY hard b/c it's low porosity). I'll try this again after my next
wash. I'll also add castor oil for its humectancy and thickening
properties.
When you added the coconut oil, did you find that it solidified once the
gel cooled? The batch of flax seed gel that I made before my current batch,
I added coconut oil (it may have been the same Trader Joe's brand in this
video) and later discovered small, white junks in the gel.
This is the best flaxseed gel tutorial I have watched. What is even funny
is that I have all the ingredients...even the same brand of gel, lavender,
and type of flaxseed (brown). LOL.. Ha! Ha!.. guess what I am doing today?
Thanks! I actually got these flax seeds from the bulk bins at Whole Foods.
I used the 8oz storage container they have there and it only cost me
$.58!!! Awesome, I love it! I usually get granola from the bulk bin too!
Well done video! We tried this gel for the first time and we just love it!
Even on the kids hair. Works for skin as well. I'm white and my wife is
black and it works equally well for both of us, thanks!
If you don't mind me asking. What kind of home do you have. Like is it a
condo or what? I love how the pipes and stuff are showing through ceiling.
So rustic!!!! That is nice and the art is phenomenal!
You can freeze them in order to reuse them again. But I hear that the
consistency of the gel is more watery and not as think as the initial
product, so you can determine if it's worth it in the end!
I remember finding out about this from Napturals85 and I completely forgot
about it. Thanks for taking me back to basics...I need it, because my hair
is crying for some more TLC. Thank you!! :)
Do you have any tips for products for those with baby fine hair. I can't
find a product that doesn't weigh down my hair and I am tried of spending
money on hair products that are not for me
I think I purchased my label maker from Target. Tea tree oil is definitely
a good alternative! It's been shown to reduce dandruff and itchy scalp in
addition to moisturizing the hair!
Your method is so simple now im not so lazy to try it! Ive seen others and
im like ughh this is so time consuming. Btw does the gel really smell that
bad without the essential oil
Hey Maya! I'm not sure...I would still think that would classify as an
essential oil and I have not read anything that says that oil stretches the
shelf life.
Looks easy. I will definitely have to try this today. I don't even have to
go out and buy ingredients because I already have all of them. Thanks
lovey!:-)
After the flaxseeds cool to the point that it doesn't burn you should put
them in a cheap pair a pantyhose and you can squeeze the rest of the gel
out!(:

I made this today with a few modifications. I added 2/3rd cup of brown
sugar instead of 1 cup of white sugar, 1/2 cup of water instead of 1/4th
and a scoop of protein and it turned out to be awesome !!! A real healthy
snack.
really delicious recipe.... thx for this.. but i am confuse about flax
seed..& linseed.. what is the diff between this two seeds. because of they
look same. so plz tell mi the name of those seeds in marathi and hindi..
Thanks for the recipe. Great idea but flax / linseed seeds start to oxidise
within 15 minutes of grinding. If they are not ground there is hardly any
benefit, since they pass through as they are
Will it work with about one quarter cup of sugar manjula?I am not fond of
sweet things much and am trying to get my husband to bring down his sugar
consumption for he has a very sweet tooth.
Thank you Manjula, I will love to try make this recipe!! but instead of
white sugar I'll use some organic coconut sugar..have you ever used before?
Thanks again! :)
Maybe you could try adding some eggs to hold it together and dried fruit
for some sweetness. But It would end up a completely different thing, mite
be nice though.
can we use Jaggery? if yes what would be the proportion?

How to make your own flax seed gel
You'll need: 1/4 cup of flax seeds 2 cups of water Your essential oil (s) Stocking A wooden, plastic, or metal thong Wooden or any kind stirrer 2 Air tight ...
I'm sorry. I don't know if anyone else has made this comment or not, but I
can't let this slide. I made the gel and it works great, but I can't stand
when people don't use correct verbiage for items that should be obvious.
It's tongs that you're using to slide along the stocking to remove the
excess gel and strain the flax seeds from the mixture. Thongs are
underwear, not cooking tools. So for those who don't know, TONGS are used
in the kitchen for turning, grabbingetc., and THONGS are panties.
Well I just made my first batch of Flax seed gel but I had to laugh to
myself and say this is slimy LOL, I washed my hair with my Organix
Macadamia ans conditioned with the Macadamia conditioner, left some in hair
, and still applied some castor oil to hair, then separated hair and
twisted up, I must say I do like the feel of the twist after gel has dried,
and it dries quickly, and I'am heavy handed too , that tells me when I take
it out in the Morning the curl is going to be great,
If the gel only keeps for 12-14 days wont the stored (already boiled but
saving them for another use) flaxseeds only keep for 12-14 days??? Just
wondering...cuz I don't want to put spoiled product in my hair just to be
on the safe side....it may have negative effects :s
Thanks, I used to keep it for 12 days and then reuse it. I don't really
store it anymore, I just throw away the seeds after the first batch. I have
never tried freezing the seeds after making a batch so I don't know the
answer to that. Hope this helps...
Just cruising thru checking on possible gels for germinating seeds , struck
around for the very nice jazz piece. Would you please send me the name ,
thank you. Thumbs up.
Thank you for tips on how to make flax seed gel. You are the best and I
love your video. Thanks for the step by step method. I will try making my
own by the weekend:)
Great Vid, can you tell me how long do you keep the already used seeds, can
you freeze them so theyll last longer and how long to you store the boiled
used seeds? ty
Making Cold Pressed Flax Oil in the Electric Samson Oil Press
John from //www.discountjuicers.com shows you how you can make cold-pressed flax oil. In this video John presses 2 pounds of flax seeds into fresh flax oil.
Hi John ~ I ordered this package deal through your site last week. I have a
question - we also take Evening Primrose Oil. Would you happen to know of a
source of seeds for that so I can try pressing our own with the Samson?
Thanks for any help, Debbie *Ü*
Im not sure. Keep checking our site for the latest updates. At present
time, its unavailable as they are redesigning it to solve some issues that
were occurring and if they are unable, it will never be available again. It
may be a few more months.
Yes, this oil press is designed to press the oil from OIL SEEDS. I have
used chia seeds and sunflower seeds, In hull hemp seeds will also work. I
have also made soy oil with limited success. It is NOT designed to make
oils out of nuts.
Yes, Please see my other video where I show making oil with different oil
seeds. I have used chia seeds and sunflower seeds, In hull hemp seeds will
also work. I have also made soy oil with limited success.
This machine ONLY makes oils out of high oil content seeds such as flax

such as fruit peels.
