As a kid, I do not have much power of what I can and can't do, especially
here in the U.S. Believe it or not. I believe other countries even
underdeveloped have more power than we do. Thanks for this video, as i now
now what I'm doing straight after college.
+MMOParker You DO have the power, especially in the U.S. more than many other places in the world which I have visited. Optimism is your ally. Believe that you can, and commit to your dreams! It's up to you to make it happen.
Wow, simply amazing. The idea of living in the ultimate reality is very
intriguing and is the PERFECT topic for a commercial like this, really the
perfect topic for anything! Geez, this is awesome!
The key to living a life of adventure | Ginger Kern | TEDxBrookings
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Adventure is a mindset accessible to every pocketbook. Though ...
+Ginger Kern Seriously, you were never in any fear of getting gang-raped in these shit foreign countries? Fuck, even I wouldn't go to some of these places.
+John Karavitis Thanks for commenting, John. In my experience and the collective experience of my community of fellow (often solo) female travelers, we've found good people nearly everywhere... including in parts of the world typically considered hostile to women. If you're interested in learning about how women can travel safely and successfully (or sharing this info with a daughter, a sister, a spouse...) +LisaImogenEldridge is an excellent resource with country-specific guides on www.girlabouttheglobe.com from her 80+ countries of experience.
I want to create a world where a huge portion of people travel that didn't
before. If I had a bunch of money I would love to fund several trips for
people who otherwise couldn't go and then write a book about each persons
experience which could turn into a movie which would inspire kids to do the
same even if that's on a smaller scale
+summer2011leggo Amazing. Very inspiring! Thank you for commenting and sharing your vision... Mine is similar: to live in a country where the majority of my fellow citizens have their passports and have left the United States at least once in their lifetime. (The ripple effect of this, in terms of empathy/world knowledge/creative problem-solving ability, is very exciting to me.)
Great talk!
Get out of your daily routine and live life! If you like adventure then
you'll definitely like the video I posted on my channel!
Check it out, you won't be disappointed :)
Hi, Ginger, I really loved your talk. I'm in a similar situation of
deciding to go back home, and feeling aprehensive about it. The 'traveler's
mindset' is a really really interesting idea, which brings me some confort
:) I just have one question, out of curiosity, didn't you wish to have made
a life somewhere else in the world, in any of the places you visited
instead of going back home? Thanks in advance, cheers :)
+tojoinbobdylan Thanks for commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed my talk. To answer your question, yes, I did consider making a life in Thailand (Chiang Mai, specifically) and tested out that city for 5 weeks before deciding that in fact I did want to try to make a life in the States. I was very intentional about my choice of Boulder, Colorado... if you do a little research you'll find that it's very unique :) Good luck with your decision-making process! I hope "the traveler's mindset" helps you.

Is this game actually worth getting? Reminds me alot like Animal Crossing
which I wasn't a big fan of but the Harvest Moon aspect is intriguing. Like
that you can choose the skills your character specializes in, but is it
actually worth the buy or will it be a quick run through game?
can you tale me about the add on content ???
like do you need to pay it every month or is it just a pay only once and
it's your's kinda deal ...
I would like to know pleas and thank you...
+Sarah Fuger there's a lot more hair styles and eyes the level cap is increased and there's some island you can explore at the end of the game I don't know much about it since I haven't finished the main storyline yet. Oh and also if you have the add on content then you won't be able to play online with people unless they also have it. Just a warning.
