1. Milk doesn’t reduce fractures. Contrary to popular belief, eating dairy products has never been shown to reduce fracture risk. In fact, according to the Nurses’ Health Study dairy may increase risk of fractures by 50 percent!2. Less dairy, better bones. Countries with lowest rates of dairy and calcium consumption (like those in Africa and Asia) have the lowest rates of osteoporosis.3. Calcium isn’t as bone-protective as we thought. Studies of calcium supplementation have shown no benefit in reducing fracture risk. vitamin D appears to be much more important than calcium in preventing fractures.4. Calcium may raise cancer risk. Research shows that higher intakes of both calcium and dairy products may increase a man’s risk of prostate cancer by 30 to 50 percent. Plus, dairy consumption increases the body’s level of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) — a known cancer promoter.5. Calcium has benefits that dairy doesn’t. Calcium supplements, but not dairy products, may reduce the risk of colon cancer.6. Not everyone can stomach dairy. About 75 percent of the world’s population is genetically unable to properly digest milk and other dairy products — a problem called lactose intolerance.Based on such findings, Dr. Willet has come to some important conclusions:• Everybody needs calcium —but probably not as much as our government’s recommended daily allowance (RDA).• Calcium probably doesn’t prevent broken bones.Few people in this country are likely to reduce their fracture risk by getting more calcium.• Men may not want to take calcium supplements.Supplements of calcium andvitamin Dmay be reasonable for women.• Dairy may be unhealthy.Advocating dairy consumption may have negative effects on health. If all that isn’t enough to swear you off milk, there are a few other scientific findings worth noting. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently asked the UDSA to look into the scientific basis of the claims made in the “milk mustache” ads. Their panel of scientists stated the truth clearly:• Milk doesn’t benefit sports performance. • There’s no evidence that dairy is good for your bones or prevents osteoporosis — in fact, the animal protein it contains may help cause bone loss! • Dairy is linked to prostate cancer. • It’s full of saturated fat and is linked toheart disease. • Dairy causes digestive problems for the 75 percent of people with lactose intolerance. • Dairy aggravatesirritable bowel syndrome.Simply put, the FTC asked the dairy industry, “Got Proof?” — and the answer was NO!Plus, dairy may contribute to even more health problems, like:•Allergies• Sinus problems• Ear infections• Type 1 diabetes• Chronic constipation• Anemia (in children)
Dairy does have a lot of calcium and even though you can get calcium from vegan foods too, it also has other benefits such as preveting anemia. I'm not saying that if you're vegan you can't be healthy, but if you consume dairy in moderation, it can be really good for you. My advice for you, which is what I do as well, is to find the balance in everything, not only foods.
+Maryam Khalid are you sure about that? Just search it up. There are many reliable, accurate, and official sources that have proven that dairy increases the risk of osteoporosis. Look up the saveourbones foundation :) anyway I don't want to be drinking pus filled milk. If you want to see the horrible and disgusting conditions cows are put through in the dairy industry, I highly recommend you look at peta's videos! They've really opened my eyes
Dairy actually depletes calcium from our bones and increase the risk of osteoporosis and fracture :/ almond milk (and other none dairy milks) has more calcium than regular milk too :)

Calcium is very important for bone health. But you can get calcium from lots of other foods. Dairy does contain calcium, but it also contains a lot of fat and acids. You can have a dairy-free diet but still get the proper amount of calcium :)
No it's actually acidic to the human body. You only need milk when you are a baby from your mother. You don't need baby food as an adult.

Tips For Starting A Healthy Lifestyle! DIY Motivation & More!
I hope you guys enjoyed this video on Tips For Starting A Healthy Lifestyle! This healthy lifestyle video is more for beginners! I hope the DIY motivation items ...
Great video. I'll show my students this. I'm an English teacher and next
class we are going to talk about different types of lifestyles. Keep up the
good work!
Recipes please. MY issue is I have NO time to cook or do anything so I eat
almost all frozen meals. I go to school around 7am and then go straight to
work after. I come home and have NO motivation to do any type of workouts
either. ..
When you make videos to share publicly, there are always going to be people
who will try to knock you down and throw you off. Rather than letting it
affect you, laugh it off. It's a shame they use their time to watch your
videos, beginning to end, just to leave negative comments.
***You are beautiful inside out, don't ever let haters get the best of you. They are the ones who envy and adore you most but are just in denial and rather throw shade.
It actually amazes me how ignorant, cruel and absolutely disgusting some
people are. I've been watching your videos for years Meg, and yes people go
through changes. Regardless if you had gained some weight, you're still you
and you're still doing what makes you you, a beautiful soul that loves to
help people. Who cares if we makes money from YouTube, she didn't have to
choose this as her job, but she did to help girls and women feel their
best. It's a complete shame how hateful some people are. It's very easy to
talk shit behind a computer or a phone, let's be honest. Why some people
say the things they do is just so baffling. You're a beautiful woman, keep
your head up!
ITS SO HARD TO GET TO THE GYM, but no one ever regrets going!
I'm on the same page as you Meg, I struggle everyday to workout, eat clean,
but we all need to motivate each other! Keep at it girl! (Even though, you
already look amazing, theres no harm in being healthy for the inside!) xoxo
I honestly think you look great!!! Hopefully people Come to light and
realize that you are at an average weight. Not everyone is gonna weigh 90
lbs. and some of us lose and gain weight it's very normal. You're beautiful
Meg :) don't let anyone bring you down
When you choose to be on youtube you open yourself up for criticism. If you
can't handle it then don't be on YT. YT isn't any more difficult then any
other job and the excuses from youtubers get old. I have a very stressful
job and I couldn't make half the excuses y'all do as to why I didn't do
what I call my job. You say your job is YT. IMO you should be putting at
least one video up every week. Lots of people work 2 jobs. You must not
realize that. So no, a lot of people DO NOT have weekends off.
+Sarah Smith im hard pressed to think of anything much more pathetic than a stranger pressuring and guilt tripping another stranger to upload a video about themselves so the other stranger can get their voyeur on. Back the fuck up already. Maybe it's a hobby? Maybe they have a full time job on the side? Get a life and get your nose out of other people's business you creepy weirdo.

+kerry lousie crossland We agree, everyone has a different taste that's why we made it possible for Leaf to be worn in 3 different ways: necklace, bracelet and a clip. :)
i'd personally rather get a polar watch (or similar thing) because im more likely to put a watch on then a necklace.but the idea for the leaf is cool and will work better for other people :)

How to Start a Healthy Lifestyle
Healthy eating / living is the best thing you can do for your body, I hope you enjoy these tips and find them helpful on how to start a healthy lifestyle ...
omg i am like your twin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my hair is curly like yours i have super blue eyes and i live in a condo my
favourite sport is gymnastics!!!!!!! we are awsome xxxx
You should really watch Cowspiracy, Vegucated, and Forks Over Knives.
You'll learn so much about health, the enviornment and helping animals. :)
All on netflix.
These are some great tips! I'm always wary of watching these videos because
they're usually just from youtubers who are really uneducated on the
subject but it seems like you actually know what you're talking about &
these are really attainable things to do to start getting healthy & fit.
+VasseurBeauty I remember when I just started eating more raw and started experiencing all those amazing changes in my body, skin, health, mood, energy, I could not hold myself form sharing this with everyone and as a result got a ton of negativity. All I wanted is to have my close ones feel the same way...But people whose mindset is far from it are not ready to be flooded with this information. This was my lesson-inform people, do not prove anything, just show them the truth with your lifestyle and your own results. I am loving your channel. I am happy there are more bloggers today who make truly necessary videos
+Annalise thank you for your kind words! I am fairly educated on health/nutrition - my younger brother was diagnosed with cancer and it prompted me to dive deep into learning about heath - specifically how diet + health are linked. But since there are so many strong & differing opinions on what's healthy/what's not I try to keep things more high level to avoid offending anyone :)
+Ray Light it's $7.95 a month, I share the account with my family. But you can also find many of the documentaries they offer on netflix (btw nothing in this video is sponsored, this is all just what I genuinely use)
So glad to be introduced to Food Matters TV! Too many great shows to choose
from! Last night watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. SO inspiring.. (but I
live in Australia and swear we don't all sound like him!)
