Learn Korean Culture - HOW TO USE CHOPSTICKS Tutorial! (Talk Talk Korean- Han-Na)
Learn how to use and hold chopsticks.Using chopsticks is not as hard as you think. Koreans use chopsticks almost every single day of their lives. When Koreans ...
the beginner chopsticks are cool..not seen before. but i hold chopsticks
different. i put chopsticks on fingertips of middle + ring finger and hold
with thumb lock. looks almost same but i can pick up coffee cups with my
chopies. ;)
+bri bart Oh that's awesome! hehe That's great you can even pick up coffee cups~ Yeah there is no "the one" way to hold chopsticks, and I'm sure everyone has different methods~ I just showed 2 methods that I thought were easy for people to try!~hehe.
+battlemarchmedley your knowledge about weaboos must be proportional to the amount of nose you have...none.Want me to explain what a weaboo is or do you want to remain happily ignorant? (=^_^=)
Eating with chopsticks is waaaaaay healthier than with forks/spoon because
it gives you the habit of eating the food in small bits. That way your
intake is way more stable and your digestion is more proper. Also, you have
more time to properly chew the smaller bits of food. Helpful vid. :)
Omg! Thank you so much!! I've been practicing with coins for about an hour
now and I think I got it down! I was having a problem with the sticks
crossing at the end, but I realized my error. It still happens every once
and a while. I've been trying to learn for a while now.
I normally rest the lower stick on my middle finger. Took me about two
minutes to figure out how to eat once someone mentioned that to me. Now I
feel like I've done it all wrong for years. :(
If you adjust your chopstick with the other hand for the correct grip and
position, you're White. For Asians, the feeling comes naturally and the
correcting is only done by one hand.
You don't have to be white to do that. I'm black and that's the only way I
can use chopsticks right now, 'cause I've eaten with a fork for 12 years
now.
I tried to use Chopsticks to eat rice. I ended up eating rice with a spoon

How to Use Chopsticks Like a Pro - Stop Eating it Wrong, Episode 12
Using chopsticks doesn't have to be tricky. Watch as Sushi Dojo chef David Bouhadana breaks down the basics of using this Asian utensil. For more videos ...
I'm korean, so i always use chopsticks. but if you come to korea, sometimes
you can see korean who can't use them!(lol) I haven't went the other
countries, but i know some people of chinese and japanes can't use them!!
(+im not good at english, beacause im middle school student of korea! lol
Just because this guy has yellow fever he thinks he's an expert in
chopsticks... There are no rules to using chopsticks everyone is different
if it works for you it works..if you go to Japan Korea China or anywhere in
Asia you will see that everyone uses them differently depending on their
hand size age etc etc
+kbr22 Lol pretty hilarious that say he has yellow fever when you are probably the pathetic white boy with yellow fever. There are MANY etiquette rules regarding chopsticks in Asia. Since In Korea and Japan NO ONE sticks their chopsticks straight into the rice. Why don't you try actually learning something instead of being an ignorant tool.
+Mai Voi I was born and live in Asia too and nothing he said was wrong...Maybe you should use your brain and realize that not all of Asia has the same rules for chopsticks.
I cannot seem to understand why people would use chopsticks when there are
forks available. Chopsticks are absolutely useless, I wouldnt even try to
finish something with them even in an Asian restaurant. We do not live in a
country where they are unable to give you a spoon fork and knife for
picking up food with. Scissors may not be a good idea as you may cut your
mouth. Its true that licking a knife could be just as dangerous although
scissors may be sharper than they appear - I am sure relatively blunt ones
may work all right
If they were so great why can they not supply them in all restaurants then. And some conventional cutlery itself is not good - they make lots of those useless disposable plastic spoons which snap and only cut peoples lips if you dont bite along them and drag them along your lips and those forks which snap anyway. Still I don't know why more restaurants wouldn't supply chopsticks if they were that good
+John Bilsbury Chopsticks are the most versatile utensils you can ever use, you can literally eat and cook most food with that. Why use two hands when you only require one to do so? Train yourself better with holding them or just stick to forks and knives.
+John Bilsbury Lol just because you are too stupid to figure out how to use chopsticks doesn't mean that chopsticks are useless. For a HUGE population of the world chopsticks are a lot easier than a fork for noodles and other non liquid foods. You look like a pathetic, lonely old man so why don't you take some time out of your worthless life and at least learn how to do something that every other normal person knew how to do a while back.
@thundafcker I do it under the table either way cuz if there ARE splinters
on them you dont want them falling in your food cuz that totally defeats
the purpose lol either way thought i THINK restaurant managers would know
if theyre buying cheap chopsticks cuz u get those plastic coated ones in
many if not all dim sum places in NYC, or the wooden ones that dont require
u to break them. those are obviously more upscale than the one's she's using
@TheNicki1616 lol why you take everything so serious ... the reason i
answered on your comment is cause i dont know either how i found this vid
or the reason i watched it cause i already can use chopsticks , it was just
a simple joke i didnt mean to make you angry or so ...
haha and i dont see why its bad manners to rub chopsticks together. People
just do that to make sure they dont get hurt from splinters while using it
and another thing is that no one holds their pencil like the demonstration
in the vid -.-
???? she didn't even teach you how to eat it!!?? let alone even ate a
single bite of them!? just went on about different types of sushi??
Bad title, gave false impressions. It should be titled 'different types of
sushi'
0:20 Why is that bad manners? A friend of mine who showed me how to eat
with these years ago mentioned it is good practice to rub (wooden)
chopsticks together before eating.
@Georg5555 haha very funny (NOT)didnt need your advice not thank you, if
you had life you wouldnt have replied me, that just shows your good at
having no life and all that.
@ChiaChai26 actually do it under the table cause if the chefs see u rubbing
the chopsticks together it implies that the resturants chopsticks are cheap
and thats rude
This is fantastic. I've been worried about whether I'm offending the chef
by using my fingers on Nigiri. Good to know it's acceptable to eat Nigiri
with your fingers.
Thanks. In Japan, how do people view left-handed people, or the left-hand in general?. (in the middle east it is your "dirty" hand and in the west left-handed people used to be viewed with suspicion) I wonder if there are less left-handers in Japan because of the structure and want/need to conform?

I do saguri-bashi and nigiri-bashi a lot :'c
they would hate me if I travelled to Japan :s good thing I know now. if I
go to Japan now at least I have one thing less to worry about
Maybe im just stupid but im traveling to see my uncle in japan this spring
and when i told my friends they were like "they have really strict rules
and manners, what if they hate you lol" and now ive spent hours looking up
japanese manners so i wont get judged too hard :D ill still probably look
dumb but hey at least i tried xd so yeah thanks for this video
+Erika Sirvio There are a lot of rules, but they are mostly for the Japanese themselves. As a tourist just try to be polite and not noisy in the train and the streets and they will love you ;)
Non-Japanese people watching this, please keep in mind that some of the
more strange ones are STRICT table manners for formal situations. No one is
going to harass you if you split your chopsticks vertically in a little
ramen shop. That said, some of them are applicable to even the most casual
of situations, so it's better to just obey all of them if you can.
+KAWAII PATEEN That's exactly what I mean. Some of these rules only apply if you're eating a fancy formal dinner with a government official, your company's CEO, or royalty.
LOL! I would just stab my chopstick into the sushi like a skewer ;) (and
hopefully that wouldn't make the whole thing crumble). I can't use
chopsticks very well either. Feel like I should learn though 'cause
everyone seems to know how to use those things!
I am Japanese, n maybe he just grabs sushi with his hand that even look
cool. u can simply have raw fish on the top into soy sauce n put it back on
rice. then it doesnt taste only soy sauce
Hahaha, your sushi skills remind me of my husband's. I tell him to just
sprinkle a little soy sauce on top until he gets better with dipping so
he's not eating straight salt every time.
I try and I can't get the hang of chop sticks so I eat my sushi with my
fingers, and I put the whole thing in my mouth because if I take bites it
all falls apart
I am Chinese. I'm using chopsticks in the same way as yours and that is
actually the wrong way to use it. my parents tried to correct me but I
never listened:)
Lol I have so much trouble eating with chopsticks lol... By the time I get
it right I don't even won't the food anymore lol... I'm trying what you
did! :)
You have to shove the whole thing in your mouth duh!
Most M&M's / Smarties eaten in one minute with chopsticks - Classics
The most M&M's/Smarties eaten in one minute using chopsticks is 65 and was achieved by Kathryn Ratcliffe (UK) on the set of CCTV Guinness World Records ...
Kathryn's record hasn't been beaten since 2011 - calling all chopstick
challengers! If you think you've got what it takes, head here to request
guidelines from our records managers:
//www.guinnessworldrecords.com/set-a-record
+aznlilboiz How about you beat the record and show her how its done? You know, like all the people who thought Dick Fosbury was doing the high jump incorrectly when he went backwards. They sure showed him...wait...never mind.
Person 1: ''Hey, did you know I have a GWR?''
Person 2: ''Wow no way, what is it? Does it have to do with sports? A
collection of something? Something with sizes or animals?
Person 1: ''Even better, I have the GWR for 'eating the most smarties in
one minute with chopsticks!' Imagine all the great things I can do with
this great skill, such as ... ... ... ehm such as ... ... ...''
+KaennC You started off on a strong note, but they you stumbled at the finish line. Fastest sprinting human on the planet is legitimately a great feat.
+moepskie Imagine all the great things I can do with my collection of stuffed animals! Imagine what I can do with my longest nose in the world! Imagine what I can do with my fastest sprinting speed! There you go, they're all equally useless.
