@TheTenthHead We're still together. I'm flying out to see her for her
birthday in June, and I'm fucking psyched. While starting out online isn't
for everyone, I just want to say don't limit your options, because chances
are slim your special someone is within driving distance of you. The
world's too big and too interesting of a place to discredit most of it to
me. If you can't do it, sorry, just don't rain on someone else's parade. If
you don't mind, I'm curious about your relationship life too.
I met a girl on my year abroad to France. I'd cheated on my ex to be with
her, but she found out and they both split up with me. I asked for
forgiveness and she gave me another chance. We were together for two and a
half years. I was in the UK, she was in Australia. The distance finally got
to us, despite visiting each other at Christmas & New Year for two months
each side. Cox is right. It's all 'bout fighting for the relationship. That
was my job, but I failed to convince her, now it's over.
These anti-long distant relationship comments amuse me more than they anger
me. I have a feeling those people with such a negative and shallow
perspective will be the ones having trouble finding a solid relationship.
For those struggling through distance, let me tell you: I met a girl online
six years ago and entered a relationship with her. Two years of long
distance and we got to live together. We are now married and going on six
years, never broke up. Fight hard its its right, its worth it.
@TheVlaxx If it wasn't your thing, that CERTAINLY means it's not for me. Oh
yeah, that makes perfect sense. You found a girl you love locally, good for
you. Sadly the love of my life is not next door. I care about her enough to
see through the distance until next year. The distance sucks, I know,
probably better than you do. But she's worth it, she honestly is. Long
distance relationships are not for everyone, but at the same time, don't
assume that it can't work because it's not your thing.
@VintageBalderdash Im in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend.
We've been together for nearly a year and Im away at school, 6000 km
away...for 6 years. Its only been 2 months. Its incredibly hard not being
able to see him, skype helps but its not the same. I cant kiss him, i cant
hold his hand. But I believe, that if you both truely love each other, you
will do anything to make it worth, you will both fight, hard, because you
both want to get through this and see each other again.
@VintageBalderdash I'm in the exact situation you are. My girlfriend and I
are seperated by the Atlantic Ocean, but our love couldn't be stronger. I
honestly don't see what the difference is between meeting on a dating
website, or just meeting online. I get to see her in... just over a month
for the first time and I'm ecstatic. After that, it'll be about a year, so
I know how you feel and you're right; this vid gives you strength. Good
luck to you both, I hope you're happy :3
@VintageBalderdash As someone who is in a real relationship and has been
for some time yes I am telling you what you have is fake. It's easy to
claim your love for a person when you have no real commitment. Real couples
have to go through all of life's problems together. Things like financial
issues that really put a relationship to the test. Your in love with a
picture and a fantasy. Nothing more nothing less. I'm sorry if that offends
you but it's true.
@LaurasLittleChannel Obviously I've seen what she looks like, and I've just
haven't seen her in person. Are you telling me you can't communicate with
and understand a person unless you're physically there for her? Can you not
talk her through and help her out through her troubles and really get to
understand her as a person because you can't physically touch her? You can
strongly bond with someone without physically touching them.
@VintageBalderdash I agree that it isn't for everyone, must ask you this
though, have you seen her in person..? also, in response to your saying of,
'I'm curious about your relationship life too' Firstly, I was expressing my
opinion, not curiosity. Secondly, My romantic life has nothing to do with
you, and it's a little sad you felt the need to post what you did about
yours on here.
We tried webcam, and in all honesty, we didn't like it. It always lags like
crazy and no matter what you look like, you look like shit on webcam. Also
due to positioning of webcams, it's like having a conversation where both
members are staring at each other's chins. Right now, we're finally two
weeks away from seeing each other (June 25). Both of us are insanely
excited.
Yeah, me too - me and my girlfriend have been together for 31 months come
tomorrow and we're separated by the Atlantic ocean. I won't get to see her
for at least another 2 months and that's IF her dad lets her come over.
Ignore the pricks on here hating on you; they just don't get how many
hurdles you have to jump to overcome the obstacles a normal couple can in a
month.
You know that demoralizing event when your best friend (who’s been a loser
for all of eternity) gets a jaw-dropping girl to fall for him in a couple
of weeks? Shit, that basically occured. I know I ought to be happy but I
want it to be me. He smiled as he told me he applied the the Cupid Love
System (Google it). I would like to hide inside of a cave at this moment...
Dude, I'll say that that kind of love is rare. And don't let these
pathetic, whiny people drag you down. Been in the military for coming up on
4 years, and I immediately recognize most of these people as immature 15
year olds who have no idea what the hell life is about. My own
long-distance didn't work out, but I'm glad to see yours did. Stay strong!
Wow... This actually gave me chills. I haven't watched much of Scrubs
but... this quote has inspired me to add it to the list of shows of which I
will download and watch in their entirety. It may be several months from
now but I will eventually watch Scrubs in it's entirety.
@TheVlaxx Oh yeah, I know I'm missing out, believe me. I obviously don't
plan on this distance being around forever. Not a day passes by where I
don't wish I was right there with her. I believe the soonest I am able to
see her is next year's thanksgiving break.
I was asking since I had a gf I met online and never met her in real
life.(I was very young). Then found out she was lying about who she was .
all her pictures werent her. lol it sucked. You know you can change the
angle of webcams right?
In my opinion, fuck yes. The things she says too are even better. She's not
just hot, but beautiful and cute as well. People tend to never really look
at those adjectives separately and just bundle all of it under "attractive."
