RV shows are great for several reasons, and if you are considering the RV lifestyle, it's the best place to start! However, if you aren't prepared....you could end up ...
Go straight to the ones you have spent hours looking at on line and in
brochures, then the "toys" you wish you wanted and finally take the slow
walk the rest of the way to the gates!
And remember, any RV or any show is like the journey you are now on! Go OOR
and meet that rep from the home you want.
It could be the side trip of them all.

Using Rustoleum spray paint to dramatically improve the look of our 40 year old camper. Demo of a small area to show how quick and easy it is to get good ...
Furthermore, how do you suppose a repainting on the camper's roof would be
handled so that it appears looking nice to the naked eye, and serves as a
purpose to seal out, and protect the roofs' surface from the previously
mentioned non-summer (usually wet) spring seasons? All and any suggestions
are appreciated. A method for using a product known as "gorilla grip" and
applying it according to manufacturers directions is mentioned in a YouTube
video. Thank you once again for your video and demo
Thank you for the video. I am remodeling an older motor home and was just
planning to update the color of the green striping but you make it look
pretty easy to do the whole thing. How is it holding up to the weather and
washing? Did you sand or prime or clear coat any of it? I used Rustoleum
auto primer and dark bronze colored spray paint to update my bright brass
living room lamps and they have held up great but they don't get any
weather.
I painted a work VAN with 37 cans of no name on sale 50. cent cans. So I
had a much better looking van for about 4 hours work and around 30 bucks.
Check out my camper redo on my channel that I painted for 12 bucks with a
quart or so of Rosyo. thinned almost in half with a foam roller. it lays
down FLAT off gassed bubbles and then is a shinny glossy beautiful paint
job......looks like it was sprayed ! Nice job good looking camper !!!
Like your video and though I'ld ask your opinion. I'm planning on painting
an older camper black. It's going to be on a deer lease so I'm not
concerned with making a masterpiece. I have painted mobile homes before for
a construction trailer park. My question is do you think a gloss black will
create a heat issue. I'm in Georgia - summers here can be brutal. A penny
for your thoughts. Thanks
Still have some to finish in the interior.. The camper is under wraps for
the winter. I do have a blog that has followed the rebuild.. and even
though it hasn't been updated since September there are some shots with the
exterior done. In your web browser, leave the H T T P slash slash there but
delete the w w w and then type airflyte (dot) blogspot (dot) c o m
A++ job. As is standard these days, there are a lot of people who are quick
to jump up and insist about what CANNOT or SHOULDN'T be done, strictly on
the basis of their own stupid internal narrative of how things SHOULD be
done. Creative solutions often yield shockingly nice results, that cause
the 'experts' to look like goofs. Well done.
It's a year later and the camper still looks great.. Any paint will collect
dust if its in a dusty environment I guess..My camper didn't / doesn't
'collect dust', it still shines. This was never meant to be a 'best way' to
paint a vintage camper, just an inexpensive alternative that looks much
better than doing nothing :)
Maybe they have this paint in purple? Would be a hell of a lot faster than
hand painting the window shelter on the Shasta were bringing home. The guy
were put it over window the air conditioner is on, I want to keep it on but
that puke green has to go lol. I think it was added after he
paunted@Brittany Mae, thanks!
Great demo, how does the rattle can job hold up against the weather we have
in the non-summer seasons of the Pacific northwest? Is a seal or special
finish coat a necessity to prevent unnecessary repainting if u will? Thank
you for your time
Thanks! Just found a 1965 aristocrat land commander and we are painting
this weekend. So glad we found your video. The screws to fill holes is a
great idea. Just want to have fun and look nice not perfect.
Hi Kevin, You mentioned that your finger gets tired. Do you know about
those triggers you can snap onto spray cans? Only a few bucks and makes it
much easier on the hands. Love the tutorial! Thank you. -Alana
Looks great! I am going to give this a try on my vintage camper. Looks
pretty much exactly the same...close to same size. How many cans did you
need?? Thanks for the vid!
Thank you for this video! We just got a 1988 pop up camper that i just
wanted to give a little TLC/ personal touch...and was looking for an
affordable DIY option.
We did this to ours over the weekend. Thanks for posting. Worked
FABULOUSLY!!
How to hook up two batteries on a travel trailer
This is how you hook up two batteries to your travel trailer so that you can get an extra day or two of power when your not hooked up to power. They charge from ...
Something I was told, not sure if it makes a difference or not. Connect
the negative from the trailer to the negative on one battery and the
positive from the trailer to the positive on the other battery to get even
distribution of voltage. I see this was not done in this case.
+Wayne Schram That's absolutely true and should be done. It's not the end of the world if it isn't but it will allow for more even charging/discharging.
