This is my initial review of the Ohlins Road & Track on my 2015 WRX STI. My daughter is with me in this video. I was taking her to the park for some play time and ...

+Rom Glad I could help. Not many pay attention to this. I didn't like the smaller offsets. It changed the driving/handling dynamics, while subtle, but enough to notice and I personally didn't like it.
+White Wing STI Thank you so much for the info. Did the math and with a+45offset and 18x9.5 inch wide rim will not change the scrub radius at all. Your +45 offset suggestion is bang on. Haven't factored in tires yet but should be minimal. Now I just gotta figure out the inner clearance on the stock and should be golden. Thanks again :)
+Rom I see. I understand the effect of scrub radius. You definitely you don't want +38 offset with either OEM or any aftermarket suspension if that's a concern. Stay within 10mm from +55 offset.
+White Wing STI goal for the moment was to ask for a 18x9.5 inch at up with stock suspension. Since I'm running winters on stock rims I wanted something a little wider for summer 265/35rr18 rubber to go with the wider rim. However, the only thing I'm not sure is how the change in scrub radius will affect the performance of the suspension and/or alignment.
+White Wing STI Doing the math with a 9.5 width wheel to keep the inner clearance the same +42 would be needed. But that's math and not how things work out in real life lol. Based on your suggestion 45 would mean 3mm less clearance at the suspension. I take the is still clearance between the factory set up and the suspension?Thank you for your advice, I haven't found anybody go into this level is detail.
+Rom I have not had any rubbing with +44 offset. I did have some rubbing with +38 offset with my old ISC coilovers. And I've had no rubbing with +38 offset at OEM height. Plus this offset did add some bounciness to the suspension performance.OEM offset is +55. I wouldn't go anymore than 10 away from that. So +45 offset would be the most I would run.
+White Wing STI Thank you. Is that with a stock suspension? Any clearance issues? I'm trying to go with a 18x9.5 myself but trying to figure out the right offset.
Hi, i noticed that in the video, the Whiteline sway bars are used at the
rear and the softest setting is being used. Can u divulge if you are also
using WL at the front and at which setting was it set at? Thanks in advance
Looking for a baseline settings for this Ohlins R&T
I was at Oulton Park that day and saw both the car and Tim in action. The
car looked effortless and poised on circuit. Don't know what power the car
was running but Tim was really flying though.
I knew those roads looked familiar... You're in Tustin! Same! :D awesome
videos dude I've been thinking of getting an s2000 aswell.. Right now I
have a Honda fit but now I've fallen in love with the s2000..
Question: wouldn't upgrading the front and rear anti sway bars be just as
good as installing coilovers in the S?
The car already has minimal body roll in stock form and upgrade the sway
bars would allow you to keep the ride comfort and ground clearance for a
fraction of the price. Or are having the coilovers just that great?
+kingJim4 Sway bars just control roll stiffness. They are linked to the left and right of the vehicle. I like to build my cars with as little bar as possible. I only use them for fine tuning. The big deal with the ohlins is the damping ability. I found new, faster lines at the race track because the car could plow over bumps without upsetting the balance.
+Yu Anthony Thanks! I used the youtube free music library.
