@tpumpiscmibicv I know this is a 7 month old reply, but my 92 ran stock
injectors as well. Even confused Tony at UMS here in AZ LOL. When I let him
do a pre-tune drive (was tuned for Colorado, ran rich down here), he and
his tech looked it over beforehand and said no way it was 30 psi. Then he
drove it and said he was confused lol. Just some fuel support mods, pocket
logger and eporm, fmic, 2g maf, exhaust and mbc. Watch my video and see for
yourself. Don't mind my talking, long drive in.
AWD cars pull very hard towards the away from the inside line when on a
track, it's a huge disadvantage, and they are susceptible to premature tire
wear on the track. That's why the Skyline race cars, most switched over to
a RWD drivetrain. Statisically the best times recorded at Nurburgring at
largely RWD cars, all of the top times posted are. Don't get me wrong at
all, i very much like Eagle Talons, i've had one, and some of them are
fast, i never made any biased distinction.
In what class? I'll admit that I don't follow racing, but I'd like to point
out that the season results posted at americanlemans com do not fully
support your claims. I'm seeing cars like Porsche, Ferrari, and Aston
Martin at the top of the lists (i.e. GT2) most of the time when you are
saying they refuse to compete. And just to be clear _ANY_ Vette on _ANY_
track is a pretty tall order. A highly modified Talon could compete with a
stock C6 on the right track.
C5, C6, Z06, ZR1, Lingenfelter... Yah> Corvettes own Nurburgring germany,
european are scared to put thier 2 million dollars car up against them and
have them disgraced, that's why they do testing now on separate days. We
won't even get into why JDM won't merge with American Le Mans for even one
race. Thier best Skyline by prestige, it's "Castrol GT-R" can't even see
the time the C5R and C6R put up at Nurburgring. I like Talons too, but
let's be real.
as to the corvette beating any the talon on any track.. thats not true at
all. on a tight windy course the talon would destroy, short gears and awd.
but on a longer straighter course the corvette would pull away. The talon
is built for acceleration, where as the corvette speed. you cant say that
one is better then the other because the cars were built for 2 different
reasons.
What ring is that exactly? What Corvette are you comparing the acr to?
Where did you get your times from? John Lingenfelter's Corvette? That very
Corvette outperformed and embarrassed every single imoprt and european car
that performed against it in "slaloms" so, i don't know where you associate
this "striaght line" with "Lingenfelter Corvettes.
An Eclipse or Talon is not better then one another, they are the exact same
car, all the way down to the engine, every last bit is the same, the only
difference between the two cars is the Talon has different body lines in
places, just like Lasers have different body lines. But this does not make
it "better".. Thumbs up so people stop asking..
sorry to be the guy but evos are not nor are they considered dsm. DSM
stoped in 94 all tho some talons and eclipse continued to have a sticker
till 96. 97 and up talons and eclipse are MMA mitsubishi motors of america.
the evo 1 thru 7 was never sold on U.S soil. first was the evo 8. and the
4g63 in that is not the same as the dsm.
There's a ton of incorrect statements in these comments. The 14B turbo is
good until 18 psi, after that the turbo is just pushing too much hot air.
The Turbo can handle up to 26psi, but in order for the 14b turbo to push
more power, you need meth injection to cool down the air that is being
pushed from the 14b.
@dsmtuners How are you running 25 PSI on 450cc injectors? I thought the
450s maxed out around 17? Either way, impressive times! I'm gonna miss the
good old stock spring squat under a hard launch now that my 92 is lowered.
Gotta love not seeing the road all the way through first gear :P
4g63t- built from ground up, bored .025 over forged pistons , 272 hks cams,
dog box, fp3065 turbo, 1680 injectors, titanium oversize valves, hks blow
off walve and 38 mm wastegate, dyno shows 694.3awhp. fuckin crazy car!! put
20 k into a dsm and beat $200k cars lmao 9.8 q mile
Just curious, but really, why are you comparing a corvette to a talon? I
have had 2 talons, but still, I'm very aware that a corvette with similar
amounts of modifications is going to hammer on a Talon. The Talon was also
half the price though.
Yeah, even with that shady launch the 'Vette still had enough pull to make
it a race. Of course AWD is gonna get a better launch regardless, but put
that Talon against any 'Vette on a track and the 'vette will win every time!

Ive driven 5 z06's, im not impressed at all. ZR1's are nice but i havent
driven one. Id rather have a faster cheaper car that handles and drives the
way i like
Creid, Vettes are very over-rated. A real tuner vs a Vette is in favour of
the tuner. Modded Imports eat Vettes for lunch. Sorry... but it's just a
fact.
