@zenenmoro Drone is the word to descripe the sound of the exhaust you hear
while you are in the cabin. It is that low constant deep humm you sometimes
hear with preformance exhaust. It can be a real pain if you are driving for
a long time you feel it in your bones and teeth!
Those mufflers look like sport not extreme! Cylendrical mufflers are
extreme... square ones are sport !!! Specialy thay extreme tips would cover
the mufflers.. wont be abble to c the mufflers
I just really wonder is it truly "no drone" or is it just "bearable
drone"....Im looking for my C6 and I love this sound..but for trips if it's
got a drone it will kill me...
You guys are really pushing out some amazing machines. Really bummed i
things went south and i wasnt able to do my blower set up with your cam,
gotta rebuild the car and ill definitely be keeping you in consideration
when it comes to the drivetrain work. This is almost exactly what im
looking for. Is this on a stock cube or stroked? ls2, ls3, ls7?
I think I'd need to hear them in person...I'm confused if I like them or
not on here.
Tick Performance SNS Stage 3 cam C6 Corvette ls2
2006 Ls2 Corvette (z51) M6. The car has a Tick Performance SNS Stage 3 V2 cam, long tube headers, no cats, SLP loud mouth exhaust, CAI, and tuned by ...
how is the drive-ability with this cam? looking to do a cam and long tubes
on my 06 ls2 cts-v. I don't want too big of a cam that will cause surging,
etc. I just want that nice lope and some nice power gains.
+Sandman TV haha. I had an 02 z06 that I loved. I just grabbed my V and I'm itching to mod it. I still have my cobra too, but I had to get back in an LS motor. Thanks for the heads up on everything. looks like I will order the stage 3.
+Garnold9 Fyi. .I still get 30 on mpg on the highway. City driving dropped to about 16 mpg. It's all in the tune. I think it drives great still. No stalling or anything, but obviously the car will shake a bit at an idle. But that's why we do it.
+Garnold9 Honestly bud, I had the stage 2 purchased, then return it for the stage 3. The guy that actually designed the cam, Martin Smallwood, talked me into it. I honestly love the stage 3. It's gets a crowd at every parking lot and stop light. I wouldn't change it for anything. And you'll probably pick up 60-70 rwhp with it.
There's a slight surge under 1500 rpms. It's honestly all in the tune. it's a bit agressive, but I love it. I almost went with the stage 2, but I'm glad I went with this one. If you don't want it to be aggressive, go with the stage 2
First start up (untuned) on a Ls2 Corvette C6, with a Tick Performance SNS Stage 3 cam, installed. Done by HPJ Performance in Belleville, IL. Car has CAI, long ...
@Marc99GT U need to take a class... All you fanboys are starting to realize
that it might be a good idea to copy honda! The only reason this video was
even posted was because vet got carroll shelby to give them the v-tec plans
I know what your thinking carroll shelby doesnt work with chevy. I know
this!!! Ever since he left Mopar he started doing engines right! I know all
of this wasnt in your "summit mag" But live and learn! Ending Note I bet
all you fags wear a hat when you drive your vett
@s2kboiric At what RPM, when is full boost made and how much torque. Peak
power is nothing without a linear torque and power curve. As a street daily
I bet your car is a hassle to drive. I actually had an STi a while back,
amazingly fun car but as a daily it RAPED me, when I got my E55, the auto
box and supercharged V8 made life way better. It was faster too, even if my
STi had been tuned to the power levels of the Merc, the street-ability
wouldn't be there. Nice car you have regardless :D
@BenWadeaaa I think the bare block is about 200 lbs, but the LS7 complete
engine, I believe is somewhere around 450 lbs. May actually be slightly
less. I had an entire listing of engine weights I found and posted them on
another video. I would love to find it because the GTR 3.8 liters with
manifolds and turbos was just over 600 lbs if I remember correctly.
You realize that Chevy v8s weigh very little because of the compact size vs
OHC engines. The LS1, LS2 and LS3 block weighs the same as the 2Jz Inline
block in the Supra. At full dress, I believe it is less. Something to think
about. The C6 Z06 with a 427 weighs just over 3100 lbs. Find me a V6 car
making 500 hp that weighs so little. You won't.
@s2kboiric And living on Race Gas so what is your point? The problem is it
is working twice as hard and living on Race Gas. I drag raced Mustangs for
years and my 99 GT ran 10s on 93 octane at only 14 psi. It is well
documented in 04/02 Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords because it was a 100%
street and emissions legal car.
all you guys who talk shit more than likely know nothing about cars but the
bare essentials. so stop the retarded bickering. who cares what engine can
beat what engine. to the dude that owns the car: nice build man keep it
going im more of a ford guy myself but that vette is fuckin sick! keep it up
@StreetxDSM I was talking about bone stock cars and not modified cars. I
can run down a list of modified cars that have no problem doing that. Show
me one anyone of us can walk into a dealer and buy it off the lot that way.
The GT2 RS is probably the only one.
@sunofsam44 I believe him telling you to take a class is in reference to
you saying "v4" because to my knowledge these engines are only used in
motorcycles in modern vehicle terms. Even still, there are few v4 engines
used in motorcycles, from what I gather.
Those #'s are excellent, and with the TQ being less then the HP you're less
likely to break something on hard launches. Sorry to hear about the
danamged motor, I'm sure the new set up will put you in the 1000+ HP club.
Best to you with the build.
@ShawnSpecial7 And ultra inefficient or else everyone would be using them.
The rotory went the way of the corded phone in your house. There are a few
still out there, but you probably won't see more than 1 at a time.
@Marc99GT It sounds crazy but years ago Saab actually did produce a V4
engine. No turbo or anything, but they did make one and put it in a
production car.Sometime back in the '60s if I remember.
@Marc99GT I saw a small foreign car on Pass Time that was street legal
pullin' 9's.Don't know what the HP was but it must have been close to
500.Just guessin'.I'd rather have the Vette.
@sunofsam44. Twin turbo V4? LOL. It may be time to go take a class on
engine configurations. The person that gave you the thumbs up may want to
sign up as well.
Twin Turbo V8 eats Twin Turbo V6 for breafast, lunch and dinner.
