Babies Are Sinister Geniuses
Babies might come off as cute and innocent, but are they actually evil geniuses out to manipulate and control us? Laci and Anthony uncover some new findings ...
Anyone with a baby and some good perceptual skills knows that this is
absolutely true. All that "goo goo ga ga" talk we do is only harming their
development because they understand language long before they can ever
speak it. My grandson is just turned 2 years old and still isn't forming
complete sentences but he damn sure knows when I'm talking to him in
complete sentences, he knows how to cry to get sympathy for a "Time Out"
offense, and he knows that when everyone in the room is laughing, if he too
bursts into a loud explosion of laughter, then all eyes will be upon him,
and that's when he goes for the kill, y'all. That baby gets everyone's
attention and immediately fires off something like *"Cookie, cookie
cookie?"*. He uses the attention he just garnered with his fake laugh to
obtain the cookie. BRILLIANT!!!
This weekend my parents traveled down and my dad sat down with Liam (the
baby genius) and handed Liam the iPhone. Liam only needed to be shown once
how to use his finger to scroll for the icon he wanted and had that phone
in his control (at least as far as finding and choosing the movie he
wanted) in a matter of seconds. He's 2 years old!!
Babies are geniuses, talk to them like they are. Don't talk to your baby
like he's stupid and doesn't understand because they do understand, and
they understand well. What they can't understand in words, they understand
in our emotions, attitudes, and body language.
....and for Pete's sake, if you're a parent be a parent always. Please, I
beg of you, don't leave your child behind in this life. Dad's, your sons
need you more than you could EVER possibly imagine and your absence from
their lives does irreparable harm, it scars them so deeply. Please be your
child's parent, even if you have to go through the spouse/partner/mate from
hell to do it. It's worth it at the end of that 18 years when they're
finally adults. (re: American law).
When I was 1 I got a chair and somehow climbed up it, I unlocked my back door, opened it and long story short my family saw me running to a nearby playground.
or who knows, maybe he still is and only pretends to have grown up! ;)
