@JawasCantBeTrusted OK replying to my own comment here, I figured it out on my own. You have to log into your namecheap account and input the name servers sent to you in a hostgator e-mail. At this point when I enter my domain it still isn't taking me to the wordpress login but I think you have to wait 12-24 hours before the name servers update. I will comment again once I have it running.

Thanks Dude ,its very helpfull? just a question : I have intsall wordpress and upload it by filezilla . on my pc my wbpage shows the wordpress site , but in othe pc it dose not show the word press site ,I have uploadit in the sme web server but dose not show it ? can you tell me why ? Thnks man

Awesome video helped me understand :) btw was wondering if i could get ur opinion on what type of plan i should go with for the domain, coz we have just opened a restuarant and were planning on making a web site, just a informative website nothing too fancy. i.e, full menu, staff etc.

Very good.I have been trying to find and have looked at lots of vids to explain clearly and properly how to install WordPress using MYSQL, this is the best one(part 2 is better because it has the meat).There are plenty explaining how with cpanel, if you have it but I don't.

@Sanaonyx Well i have image of error but youtube prohibits publishing weblinks Anyway visit my website to see the error " onyxglobal . info " I feel problem occurred because i had removed my home page so that visitor comes to About Us Page! I can't fix anymore

I have one question, you didn't mention anything about connecting the domain to hostgator. Am I right in thinking I need to transfer my domain that I bought from namecheap to hostgator? at the cost of $15 or am I missing something?

This is perhaps a dumb quesiton, but can you please tell, if I have already installed wordpress using Fantastico from my c-panel do I need this step? Or am I good to go and build my blog using the wordpress dashboard?

Anybody have any idea why my unzipped folder contains files that can't be opened? They just have a little blank page icon next to the file name and when I click it says windows cannot open this file...

@JawasCantBeTrusted OK after spamming F5 for the past 10 minutes it loaded up fine. so that's the only thing missing from the video. Still an excellent vid as I would have been totally lost without it.

Thanks for the help. The whole mysql thing caught me for a while there cause my c-panel is a lot different, but I found it eventually.

you don't have to do all that. just go to (on your cPanel) quick install and go to blogs. click wordpress and follow the steps
