Half Life 2: Direct Insertion [Fan Concept Cinematic Trailer] [Saxxy 2014]
Based off of the storyline of Awakening.Taking place several years before the events of Half Life 2, the Lambda Resistance have discovered remnants of the ...
I like the video, though I'm a little concerned with the story placement
and all.
How would there be U.S soldiers when there are Trans-human Combine
soldiers, and vice versa?
Pretty sure there was no trans-human Combine before (and possibly during)
the Seven Hour War. I'm pretty sure there were no openly active U.S
soldiers after the Seven Hour War.
I don't see the Combine having any interest in Aperture or even the
Borealis until after their portal to the Combine Overworld was destroyed.
It's also possible they never knew until after Episode 2. Because Mossman
encrypted the message about the Borealis that Alyx Vance stole from the
Citadel (If I remember correctly from Episode 1?)
Allow me to explain, keep in mind that this was a concept I had in mind at the time so there wasn't a definite chance that I was acting upon it. This story draws elements from the mod Awakening where the resistance find dormant HECU marines lying in stasis. Of course after Adrian Shephard got up and left, the base was raided by Combine soldiers, but not before his other fellow Marines were rescued and brought back to Eli's lab. Now to address the Portal story elements. First and foremost, this has nothing to do with the Borealis or Hl3 even though it certainly looks like it. After Cave Johnson had successfully lured buyers from the military to buy shower curtains, Cave used a chunk of the profit to build another identical Aperture Science facility in Eastern Europe that was secretly kept off the books to rival Black Mesa. However over the years, Aperture's funding was slowly slipping and Cave ultimately shut down the facility since money to maintain that location was just being wasted. But the scientists that were working on Glados managed to link the sister facility to her systems allowing her to detect any major presence via satellite. Going back to Half Life, the marines that were put in stasis had been chosen to be preserved by the U.S Military after the events of Black Mesa called for emergency protocols. Their bodies were frozen in cold storage allowing them to bypass the Seven Hour war with the Gman eventually placing Shephard in as well. This trailer is set in a period where the Combine had began to implement Transhuman soldiers while still relocating their original army off world to eventually be replaced by the Overwatch. The Combine scanners had eventually scouted out the abandoned Aperture Facility, discovering its vast technological devices that were shipped there. With the Combine still trying to find a way to teleport within the same dimension (as mentioned by Mossman in HL2) they sent scouting parties to salvage parts. Eli's scientists had intercepted the signal and enlisted the help of the HECU Marines, even though there was mutual feelings based upon Black Mesa, to stop the Combine since they were trained soldiers best to deal with situations unlike resistance members. At the same time, they were also battling Glados' security systems that she was controlling from the main Aperture lab as part of her initiative to keep out intruders.Basically, that was what I had in mind to further reintroduce elements from Half Life 1 to eventually lead into the official story to further the story arch's within the gaps.

Combine techno music by DJ Zapp Brannigan Feat. I take no credit for making the song, i only take credit for making the video. The link to the song is ...
Half-Life, let me take a closer look. Okay, Life = Li (lithium) and Fe
(Iron). Atomic number of Li = 3, Fe = 26, 26 - 3 = 23 (2, 3 - first was HL2
and then HL3). There is also H = Hydrogen. Hydrogen's atomic number is 1,
that means we have a HL1. So we have a HL1, HL2 and HL3. And now Valve.
There are V that stands for vanadium. Vanadiums atomic number is ALSO 23!!!
Okay! Half - Life 3 Confirmed.

+Robert Jakimov I don't blame you (and everyone) getting impatient, and I hate to keep you waiting - it's depressing and frustrating how long it takes me to make an episode these days - but I can't really give you an ETA, as I've been struggling to piece everything together for Part 33 - I can't say why without mentioning spoilers, but some sections have been driving me bananas, and taken me many hours to figure out. But it's going to be much longer, and a bit different, compared to previous episodes - and I sincerely hope it will be worth the (too) long wait.
+Robert Jakimov Yeah, the first one is called Death Rides into City 17 - I have a playlist of all the videos in the series on my channel page, although many of the earlier episodes were made back in 2007.
+Le Reff Ellen McLain is the voice of the Combine Announcer in HL2 and Episode 1 and 2, as well as GLaDOS in Portal 1 and 2 and the Administrator in Team Fortress 2.
I speak English fluently but most of the things the overwatch voice says, I
can't understand like "Vital alert. Autonomous units subsumed. Mandatory
compliance with all tenets of advisorial assistance act. Threat level
adjustment. Probe. Expunge." I can understand the words but for me I
doesn't make much sense. Google translate makes it worse. Are these some
sort of coded messages?
+Skrubby Cupcake So you never really needed help understanding, did you? I mean, you already had it right lol. Well except for the "protect the advisors." That was actually "Autonimous units subsumed" means that, I THINK, the units in the area were killed, or taken over by the advisors.
+josh alaniz At first time, when I heard it some years ago it was like this "Vital alert.", Important alert/announcement, "Autonomous units subsumed.", all Overwatch units tasked to find, rescue and protect the Advisors, "Mandatory compliance with all tenets of advisorial assistance act.", comply and do what the Advisor says, "Threat level adjustment." The threat level is changing from low to high and since Freeman is there I assumed it will go high, " Probe. Expunge.", eliminate the threat.
+Skrubby Cupcake It's technical jargon. "autonomous units subsumed" means Freeman killed a lot of soldiers in the area. "Mandatory compliance with advisorial assistance act"; Means all soldiers and units have to do and comply with the LAW called Advisorial assistance act, the advisrors come in to help. '"Threat level adjustment. Probe. Expunge"; It means the thraet level has been raised because the Resistance is becoming more of a threat. "Probe, expunge", Means go look for resistance and kill any you find.
Each version of the announcer goes well with the setting of each game,
Valve must have some of the most skilled and considerate sound engineers in
the industry. Hope they work with McLain in the next Half-Life installment.
