Amazing scene. I have to feel sorry for Queen Elizabeth though, because she looks so small in all that dress and robe and cape and it looks like the royal crown is very heavy.

+Anna McLeran I've read before that the crown is VERY heavy, so are many of the tiara's she owns. In the same article it mentioned that is the reason you don't see the Queen wear tiara's all the time, because the majority of them are too heavy, it hurts her heck.

It should be noticed that HM was annointed and made solemn, binding promises to serve as our queen until her life's end. This should put an end to any silly notion, common of some US gossip channels, that the queen will 'step down' to make way for 'younger people'

+gordywestmids It's still possible for her to abdicate the throne but ONLY if Parliament has 100% agreement from all signatories of the Statue of Westminster (1931). I can't imagine her ever putting this into effect though.
