Thanks i realy need a video like this to motivate .i have question i prefer
mentalism and is there some really good trick wich you would prefer? Thanks
for the answer. Oliver
+DMCMAGIC dude stop saying you know all that from books hh its all in your head its all around you demons they do their works all you do is just moving your hands around like you are doing it but you do nothing they do they move stuff they make thing showing from no where you just sold out demons are your friends now but when you die .... you will know :)
+olisko lukac Have a look at book tests Olisko, some really beautiful (and impossible) versions available. Some of the best are totally prop-free and you can use ANY book ...
Thanks for this post, I am traveling and staying at hostels, most of the
people I come in contact with are travelers. There is a huge difference
between travelers and tourists! travelers are on a tight budget and
tourists have cash. It is fun and easy to practice with travelers, even
show them how to do certain tricks. Then you hit the tourists up, They will
gladly toss you a couple of dollars, maybe even have you mate offer to take
a picture of you with a group of bewildered tourons! The most important
part is to HAVE FUN!!! ;)
@followmyhands If your goal is to make money, go to where the most tourism
is in your area. The more fresh foot traffic you can find, the better your
chances are of making some money. I don't know what the area you live in is
like, but at 14 it might be a good idea to have an adult around for
security reasons. I'd try and find a location that has something fun for
one of your parents to do while you perform, just to keep them close by.
thank you so much for your advice I was just terminated from my job due to
business been so slow and my friend just gave me the idea to do street
magic... I have been a hobbyist magician for the last two years performing
at friends birthday parties and churches kid's bible summer schools but
really not making any money i was just doing it for the fun of it and the
love of the art of magic....anyways thank you again
@magicgeekinc Hey no problem, Chris. I really can't wait for the video
about turning Street Magic into other gigs. I'm a Mentalist, a Bizarreist,
A Sideshow Act and a Street Magician. None of those work well for the
common gigs Magicians get when they decide to make performing a career (ie
Kid's Parties). So really I need help w/ finding my market for my style and
personality.
Chris this video is excellent! I've been watching a lot of video about the
other side of magic after you've learned the techniques and now want to
take it to the world -- and even though your video is only 6mins long and
only about finding the Location it's a WINNER! Great stuff, man. Loved it.
Can't wait for more! You're a good teacher.
The WORST thing you could do to start your busking career is to get
permission from the police or the city. They'll almost ALWAYS say no, and
now you're dead in the water... unnecessarily. I'm sure you mean well, but
if someone paid money to learn to be a street magician, only to be told to
ask the police first? They got ripped off.
@followmyhands Another good idea to make money and get gigs is to find a
restaurant that will allow you to do magic once a week. This is a good way
for the restaurant to bring in more family business and a fantastic way for
you to make money with tips and by passing out your business cards.
@TheMindofRobert That would work really well. I used to perform at an art
walk, the only problems I found were that the spaces were expensive, the
vendors were territorial and there were a lot of rules to performing there.
I think a Swap Meet type event would be great.
@TheDavidA71 any trick with the right presentation will get a good
response. I have done basic pick a cards on the street and gotten great
responses. I would mainly stay away from levitation's in my opinion because
so many people have the UFO card. hope this helps!
Hey Chris, what are your thoughts about renting a space at a Swap Meet and
Flea Markets to perform? Yes you have to pay but it's in a place w/ a lot
of people, foot traffic and they are there to spend money. Thoughts?
looking forward to the rest of this...i always perform when i go out to
have some drinks with friends, but this summer i'm going to take it to the
street setting so this is very informative
Looks like this series will be fun:) Unfortunately, I have NONE of those in
my city. Actually, people don't even really walk around... Anyways, awesome
Chris. can't wait til the rest:)
LOL Like a year ago, I was doing magic IN A MALL, and me and my friend (who
was also doing magic) got busted because of our huge crowd and we tried to
run away. Stupid mall cops.
Hey criss what would be a good place for a 14 year old like me to preform.
Dont worry I am used to performing In birth day party's but I don't make
enough. Any pointers?
"Make sure you have a big enough sidewalk so that your spectators don't end
up in the street?" Well then why's it called "Street Magic"? Huh?! HUH?!
lol. Just kidding.
@DazzlingDoudini Not sure. You should get the number of your local police
station (not 911) and ask them what kind of restrictions they have on
street performers.
I like how this entire show was about firing shots at Criss Angel. xD
I guess now we're gonna have to make Criss do this again naked so we can
see if he's truly using wires or not.
Dynamo does it without a crane on traveling bus. Lets see you doing it with
a crane. To my opinion Dynamo is not human. He is an undercover entity from
another star which he is not allowed to reveal his identity. So, a magician
is a good cover and he giving people to think for themselves. Please note
that before he is performing a great magic, he is talking about a different
reality which is he changing his reality.
+Psychotic Ninja what about the crane gadget above where the cables are attached to?? Magicians perform in front of people.. not in cameras only. Can't people see the extremely obvious gadget above??
Demon Magicians: Episode 8 - The Levitating Ball (Yif, Penn & Teller, Mystifier)
This is the most informative episode by far, explains many questions and sets a lot of ignorant "skeptic" assumptions straight. Explains how normal amateur ...
Why does the guy who levitates have to step back 30 feet to do it ? Why not
just levitate right from where you are to begin with ? Oh that's right ,
there is a trick to the illusion .
You're an idiot. If you see a tree blowing in the wind do you assume a
demon is moving the branches? If you see your grandpa do a bad card trick:
it's a demon? If you see a car moving down the road but you don't
understand how an engine works: must be a demon inside the car.
Your deductions in these videos are borderline medieval. It's people like
you who held the world back for centuries in the dark ages. Please educate
yourself, you're a disgrace to humanity.
+Xendrius Ok, so apparently you can't read: I clearly stated that I am not an atheist, I am a deeply religious person. It's funny how you cannot spell or read.. and you also believe that these cheap and mundane tricks are proof of the supernatural.. and then you claim that I have a low IQ? I think you're projecting lol.I mean, if you wanted to believe that UFOs, ghosts, quantum annealing, free energy or earthquakes were related to the supernatural then I wouldn't have an issue with it. But to claim that these banal tricks are demons? You must be a troll because no one, not even a small child is that dense.
+Torgo Ofcourse YOU don't see the evidence, you are a low iq atheist. The day low iq atheists see this as evidence for demons is the day I'll question it being demons myself.
+Xendrius I don't see any clear evidence. All I see is cheap and nasty tricks that can be performed by anyone. I was not using a straw man argument, it's called an analogy. You're too thick to understand something simple so you've created an ignorant explanation. Either you're extremely dense or you're suffering from a mental disability.I am not an atheist. I am a deeply religious person however I am not stupid enough to believe that these cheap dollar store kids tricks have anything to do with the supernatural. I am well aware of the term cognitive dissonance (although apparently you are unable to spell it). I don't think you understand what it means, since you have used it incorrectly.I was a magician for years and I can explain (in detail) how any of these tricks are performed. But I will assume that you don't want to know how they are performed, you're in denial and you'd prefer to be blinded by your own ignorance.
+Torgo Stop with the hypotheticals and strawman arguments, I show CLEAR evidence that demons are behind what you believe are clever and secret illusions. You are just a low iq atheist like me 8 years ago and you can't handle demons existing, that's the first issue. Your brain can't handle demons so you will obvious try reject any information that tries to teach it.It's called cognitive disonance, google it.
adding "fake" translation to a language in this case greek is simple
wrong.no many people of your viewers know the language so they simple read
your subtitles and what you wrote in there is no way near what being said
I've been practising for a few months now, and I'm improving every day,
I've been practising my tricks on my family and girlfriend, I've just
finished my GCSE's now so I have more time to practice, I found your
channel a few days ago when I was trying to learn more flourishes and get
more ideas for new tricks, and I'm slowly making my way through your videos
haha, thanks for the tips man it really helps
+97epicman When I first started I used to get extremely shaky, like, shaky to the point where my mum wanted me to do a drug test after I performed a magic trick on her hahaha
Jay, quick question, were you very good at flourishes, false cuts, etc...
when you first started to get into magic or did you have to practice a lot
to get the hang of them and eventually master them?
+Explosive Magic I've never been that great at flourished to be honest. I practiced more of the illusion card tricks than the fancy false cuts and what not. Over the years I practiced both though but I'm definitely better at sleights than I am at cardistry
