You need to do this eveytime you start your ubuntu Open Terminal and type sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 f4.b=80 80 represents the brightness level. You can set the ...
did not work for me. no matter WHAT i type in the terminal i am not seeing
any brightness change whatsoever. i am using ubuntu 13.04 and it seems
thousands of other people are having the same issue, where they cannot
change the brightness no matter what they do.
#1 (open the file in gedit or vi) $ sudo vi /etc/default/grub [sudo]
password for rishabh: #2 (find an insert the arguments in gray)
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash acpi_backlight=vendor“ #3 (update
the grub configuration) $ sudo update-grub done
I have the same problem in 13.10. I didn't realize that it was basically in
beta as of now but many people with 13.04 seem to have the same problem.
I've looked up so many tutorials but none of them are working.
This is a great video if you or someone you know wishes to adjust the brightness in Pinta. Adjusting the brightness is a great way to deal with overexposer and ...
Lighting Uses Phone APP To Turn On, Off, & Adjust Brightness Levels...COOL!
That is to reduce the spreading of germs not because people are lazy. Your supposed to tap the faucet with a wrist or and elbow instead of turning a handle with germy hands. Ha lazy people who assume the reason things are the way they are without actually being informed(I mean you)
Well crap, if I can dim my lights while sitting on the crapper or while I'm
at my desk than shoot throw me one. Unless the price is outrageous then
I'll just get up and walk lol.
Thy have something like that some security systems work off your phone and give you live video feed and the ability to turn on/off lights and lock doors
These don't function without a hub that you connect to your WIFI, I got the
hub, and 4 bulbs for $50, I didn't have a light switch in my room so before
these I had screw my lights on and off, so they're incredibly useful for
me.
You can set these lights up to run on a schedule, or even turn on/off based
on your GPS location.
They're also pretty cheap IMO, $15 per 800 lumen LED bulb rated for
something like 22 years of usage is pretty reasonable considering their
added functions.
+Michael Mathis A lot of LEDs are rated for that, and while its often technically true for the LED die itself I'd expect the components in the driver circuit to fail much earlier than the LED itself in most cases. Also I wouldn't be surprised if the operational temperature in a lot of designs will exceed the conditions they're rated at, so some derating due to temperature would have to be factored in. Some electrolytic cap or transistor will probably release the magic smoke well before the LED itself does I'm afraid. Still that doesn't mean they're bad products in general, some cheap bulbs can be HORRIBLY NOISY both on the mains and EM radiation especially the pwm regulated ones. But unless you're seriously into electronics or got some really delicate instruments at home that last part is unlikely to be a real issue for you as a home user.

Thank you! Not immediately obvious, and the general brightness setting had
no effect. When the page came up it would immediately dim down, and was too
dark for day use.I thought the "A" was just for font size as usually shown
in composition screens, and hadn't tried it for brightness.Very helpful!
It should still be light enough in a dark room to be able to see the scale
and slide it up.
