WIC is a supplemental food program designed to address the nutritional
needs of low income families. Foods provided must meet USDA federal
regulations standards and be widely available and cost effective. While the
Program cannot financially support all products to be organic, it does
provide Fruit and Vegetable Checks that allow participants to purchase
organic fresh, frozen, or canned allowed items.
