Motorcraft 2 bbl adjustment
Heres the adjustment process for my 72 f-100 motorcraft carburetor.
This was one of the most gay-assed 'helpful' videos ever.
Folks, turn both idle MIXTURE screws all the way in till lightly
seated[don't force] them Turn both screws out equally 1-1/2 turns. Have a
vacuum gauge and a tachometer handy and tap into manifold vacuum source.
Start vehicle and bring up to temperature 180F. Watching vacuum gauge and
tach; SLOWLY adjust both mixture screws 1/8th to 1/4 turn at a
time[maintaining equal balanced amounts to achieve the highest RPM+ vacuum
signal at the gauge. Then adjust the CURB IDLE screw[with spring] at
linkage to specified idle for your vehicle.
You suck balz dude. And your 'choke' tips-Go choke your chicken.
There is Mike@ Carbueretor-parts.com. Lots of his videos for the Autolite/Motorcraft 2100 and 2150 2bbl on YouTubeLook at his YouTube tutorial for the "Accelerator pump."Is the check ball and weight installed correctly? He shows how to fix it, if not. Is the pump Diaphram installed in the right direction? Ethanol fuel ruins the diaphram if your vehicle is parked a lot.He sells the correct jets, and other sizes so you can tune for E-85 gasoline. His kits use Viton needle and seats to resist the ethanol in modern gas. He has brass float to replace the nitrile plastic one that absorbs gas over time.He talks
+Aye Bee OK Mixture Screws set, Vacuum and Tach at what? Screws in or out ? I am bringing my new rebuilt FE back to life. Runs strong at idle but off idle, accelerate it stumbles. What adjustment do you recomend?
Hey, thanks for the vid. I have a question for you. I a motorcraft carb
with electric choke. My truck used to have the kind of choke yours has.
Well my problem is that my choke butterfly flap is stuck just barely open.
I've hooked up 12v dc to the choke but nothing happens and the truck dies
when it gets warm. Any ideas why? It's a re-manufactured carb so it should
be working right.
I have a 352 FE with an autolite 2100 2bbl on it. I'm not having any
running issues, just consuming a lot of fuel and my plugs are black and
soaked in fuel. how do I correct this issue?
Check and adjust timing and carburetor. If the issues are not gone after this. Your engine is properly worn.

Y-Block Ford, Tim McMaster cutting C1TE head for larger valves
No need to waste your money on a set of ECZ-G heads for the street, just use a set of C1TE, C1AE or C0AE heads (they are all posted) and cut them for larger ...
Hey Tim. Here on Brazil our y block head's were made with 1.925" on intake,
and 1.508" on the exhaust. I'm lookin for a set of larger Stainless Stell
valves. I belive that the 351 Cleveland will fit. Have you ever used this
kind of valve? Sorry my bad english. Thank's
You can use 351 valves but the groove for the locks is lower and you will
need to adjust that with different retainers or keys with re-located
groove. 460 valves work better.
@mortiz103 Thanks! Let me know when you are ready.
My Boost referenced power valve project
This is how I did the boost referenced power valve on my proform bodied 750 DP Holley for the blow thru turbo system on my truck. I also run the vent tube ...
Yes its the same base carb that Hangar18 recommends, Nitrophyl floats, jet
up, jet extensions in rear, remove choke horn, epoxy choke rod hole(my carb
has a Proform main body so it doesn't have a choke horn or rod hole). I
also use the vent tube extensions and the power valve mod in this video.
Get a wide band 02 censor with guage and start with low boost, low timing
and bigger jets, then spend the time tuning it. theturboforums has all the
info a DIY'er needs to mod a carb for blow thru.
Awesome. I have a 4150 I'm going to modify. You've been using yours for a
while with good results? After you started using it how long do you think
it was before you felt confident in your tune?
This will be my first blowthru carb build. I will probably need help with
quit a bit. Is your carb in this video the same as what they describe in
the hanger18 website?
I'm glad it helped you, thats why I made this video. It was trial and error
when I did my first blow thru about 12 years ago. Most of this technology
didnt exist.
