Hid Kits are a great accessory to addd to your car or motorcycle, as they not only provide intense light but also look clean! Just so your know HID stands for ...
Hey buddy, good video. Just wanted to ask, if I install the 8000k 55w for
my mazda, and I am worried about melting my factory harness etc. your
recommending I get an aftermarket harness to connect to the battery ,
correct? This should help? SOrry bro Im just paranoid about this because I
have heard stories and I feel regretful for ordering them.
Good question to ask; take a infared heat thermometer from Harbor Freight or even amazon and aim it at the hottest spot on ones lens for ones headlight; simply let the car and/or motorcycle headlight stay lit for 15, 30, 45 minute testing interval trials while staying still to see the actual measured temperature effects; now the high temperature plastic used in headlights starts to melt at about 275 degrees fahrenheit I believe; so simply observe how long one can continuously project ones Hid bulb without burning ones lens to determine the actual time one can safely run one headlight and let heat continue to build up by keeping car/motorcycle headlight completely still; and then compare the collected measured temperature data with both the 35 watt Hid temperatures versus 55 watt Hid lighting system temperatures; hopefully ones Hid lighting system headlights will not actually melt and also hopefully one can determine the actual safe operating temperature one can operate up to without ones headlight lens melting in the process.
hey I am thinking of installing a Q45 projector light into my headlight
bucket on my VTX 1300 Honda bike. trying to figure out if I should use a
HID set up or LED. Not sure if LED would even work for this kind of set up.
If you have some information you could share I'd be greatful, Thanks

+wil young GO with the HID route. Projectors are extremely sensitive to where the glowing portion of the LED emitter is situated and in hundred percent of the cases the LED emitter is not positioned correctly for use in projectors. You will not have an even spread of light when using LED in projectors.
retrofitting a HID projector is the best and proper way....a 35w ac 4300k
is bright enough and brighter than stock halogen housing with HID....on
stock halogen u get a lot of glare and the light output is scattered as
shown in this video so its blinding, unlike HID projectors u get a nice wide
output and brighter, plus it gives a nice colorband if u modify the shield ,
a 4300k will look like blue, purple ,green when the colorband hits the
oncoming driver but on the road its still white :D
+Chuy Pena attach it directly into a battery. If it lights than it works!! if it doesn't try the same bulb on a different ballast. If it doesn't light than it may be your bulb. You can use the process of elimination to find the problem
