Yeah that's pretty friggin soft. The springs in my stang are 700lb/in in
the front and 300lb/in in the rear. Not bad for street driving and on the
track it plants and stays level. Lets me get sideways all I want too which
is fine by me lol
yea it is all stock, the stock spring rates are for the rear springs on a
speed are 171.180 lb/in normal 3's run 150.00 lb/in some of the
aftermarkets available are up over 300 lb/in
Really? Was there actually any risk of that happening? While it would
really suck for you in a monetary sense, a shot of your strut imploding
would be pretty bad ass.
gopro cameras have really good internal stabalization but i was also
testing out my buddy's new gopro mount which is very sturdy with very
little compliance
So something was knocking in my rear suspension so I made this video of me driving on a gravel road to find out it was the exhaust. I found it really cool to watch ...
very cool! my exhaust was doing that on my ZX3...the metal hanger rusted
off so I put in a universal hanger on mine for now...will eventually have
to replace the whole exhaust
Noise, grinding, rattling over all bumps in my 2011 MazdaSpeed3. Video taken from rear of car with spare tire and everything else removed. Tried greasing ...
I got the same noise in my mazdaspeed 3, I also get some jiggling over
bumps on the right rear so I will be checking the end links and pretty sure
I will be replacing the rear shocks once spring arrives.
Sounds like a blown rear shock. My 2007 mazdaspeed3 was making the same
sound while driving . . . clunking noises from the rear. Check the rear of
your car for bounce.
When I look up Endlink replacements for my 2011 mazdaspeed3 only front ones
show up. Is it under a different name? Something to do with the sway bars?
Mazda 3 S hatchback rear noise issue. Please help!! :(
Hi Everyone, I have this 2008 Mazda 3 S 2.3l Hatchback and I am experiencing this weird metal noise from the rear of the car when going over bumps. I went to ...
The noise seems very long. it were the parts you indicated, I would think
that it would be a very quick squeal. Now I am not an expert, so that is
just my opinion. There is a clue that when you touch the brakes, the noise
goes away. Now you said you just changed the brakes. Did you do this
yourself? Also, if you installed this yourself, did you install the chatter
plates on the pads(which help with squealing). There is also a gel that you
can put between the metal part of the pad.
On brake pads there are little tabs that are designed to squeal when the
pad get worn out. The squeal is commonly there, but goes away when you
press the brake in my experience. If the brakes squeal when you put on the
brakes it usually means the pads are excessively hard, or maybe they have
something in between them and the rotor. A squeal when you apply the brakes
can also mean it is down to the pads are down to the rivets( if it has
them)
I recently found out that the rear brakes and rotors has never been changed
only the fronts. When I took the car to the mechanic they keep saying the
brakes are good. I tried going on big bumps with and without pressing the
brakes. When I press the brake the noise disappears and when I let go to
the brake on the same bump it make that noise. So what you might think,
what it need to be changed? I really thank you for helping me out :)
sorry, it really sounded like the squeal tabs on the brake shoes to me.
Perhaps point the camera at the car when it is doing that noise. It is
impossible for me to tell what is going on to cause that noise. Since you
can probably hear it from the inside of the car, can you have your friend
ride along with you, and record that? Thanks! I will have to think about
this one for a while...
a dragging noise when you apply the brakes can mean the pads are worn down
to the metal backing that the pads are bonded to. In your case, it is
strange to me, that it only does this noise when you go over bumps. I would
personally look into replacing the back pads, and take it from there.
Replacing brake pads is a minimal cost, and it never hurts to have new pads
on your car.
The anti squeal gel is to go between the out metal part of the pad, and the
brake caliper to keep it from vibrating and squealing. If you want to
change those parts the dealer listed, are you going to do it yourself. If
you didn't change the brakes yourself, are you sure it was done right? If
you didn't do the job, who did this for you? Let me know.. mark :)
Does the noise squeak when you apply the brakes? It sounds to me like the
the sharp squeak that comes from the little tabs that are on brake pads to
tell you when the pads are worn down too low. Does it squeak when you drive
and then go away when you hit the breaks, or does it only come when you hit
the breaks?
I realize that when I put my foot lightly on the brake the noise goes away,
but when I let go it starts coming again when going over the same bumps.
The Mazda dealer said to change the Trailing Arm Bushing and Lateral Link.
Do you think they are right, or they just trying to take my money? Please
reply soon!
Yes, The problem was the the Brakes. I suggest to change the brakes and use
the Mazda stock brakes. DO NOT USE 3rd party brakes since they don't have
the metal clips. The metal clips will keep the brake in place and it won't
rattle. Please let me know the updates!
Thanks for the advise :). I couldn't hear the noise from inside only
outside this is why it's weird. The noise is like metal to metal and
sometime plastic. I try to record the noise before but it was hard because
of wind noise. I am tired from this noise :(.
Hey, The noise is getting worsen each day. The noise is getting louder and
even when I'm not going over the bumps. I have uploaded the new video
please check it out. I am getting tired from this car and will just trade
or sell it.
DO NOT buy 3rd party brake pads, non of them have the metal clip, which
hold the brake pads in place. I highly suggest you to buy Genuine Mazda
brakes pads. The problem will be fixed in seconds.
The brakes does not squeak and I recently changed the brakes also. When I
apply the brakes or just driving, it still has this metallic noise when
going over bumps. :(
