they seemed relatively harmless, I think. she actually asked a good
question: "condemnation for what?!" That's a very broad, yet very deep
question, interestingly. One which Christians ponder and pray about - need
God to help with - all the time. they seemed like decent people, but still
- it's a lot deeper than that. Everyone except Jesus has sinned and fallen
short of the glory of God. (Lol, I just got to the part where he says "I
think the Holy Spirit is working on you, two" and I totally agree.; I got
that sense too). But back to her question: yes, it may seem unfair to be
condemned to be apart from God if you have been decent, but still, Jesus is
the only completely innocent and completely pleasing person in the sight of
God; the only one who can stand in His presence. It would be too much power
and light for anyone else. Yet we can stand in the presence of God, feel a
connection with God *thru* Jesus - who is holding out his hand for each and
everyone to sieze. It's up to us to choose to grab it. Even to touch it is
to feel the completely good, awesome power of God. Jesus did not come to
condemn people. That's where this couple is treacherously wrong. He came to
save us. But He can't do that by lying, and saying that we can reach God
just by being decent, and nice. The Foo Fighters are very cool, and are
decent people. They have beautiful music that even touches on aspects of
love and of God, yet here is the thing: they, and no one, canclean the
stain of sin off of themselves. It's like trying to wipe paint off of your
clothes with a rag. It really is. But I tell you, Jesus can make you clean
instantly! - if you choose to repent and follow Him. I would not lie to
anyone about this Anyways ... I hope they and everyone can get past the
knee-jerk reaction of thinking Christians and the Bible is full of
judgment. It really is about love. God is a God of Love! But we can't be
one with him on our own. SO many people now days think they can, though.
they have lost the truth so friekin badly that they call their abominable
behavior love, and freedom - all in the name of freedom (cuz hey, that's
America;s foundation, right?? - that is an example of a corrupted truth. So
corrupted that the word freedom has now become - in many ways, to many
people - a source of darkness. They say "oh, we are free to wander into
that dark forest! Let's go!" And are lost in it, and committing the most
abominable acts imaginable, thinking not only that God can't see them, but
that there is no God. Their god is the god of this world, though. It has
them controlled like puppets!
+Nick Dinsmore and actually, I hadn't finished watching this when I wrote that. I think that those people are ones who have known God and need/want to get closer to him; like they have heard the truth, but not really embraced it and chosen it. but I think that tis preacher caused a reaction in them that was evidence that they feel convicted to choose God more than they are and have. they really seem like good people, I like them. The preacher is good, too, but I think he got a little bit gung ho. This is still, like I said, absolutely pleasant - relative to the common reaction I've seen from ppl toward street preachers. notice, by the way, that this couple didn't boil over into foaming, poisonously hateful wrath when the man said homosexuals cant inherit the kingdom of God. I've seen ppl literally appear to have demonic (!!) reactions to that. it's a dark, evil force rolling over this land.
Your god is a failure, instead of finding a way to save 100% of humanity he
picked a way he knew would save at most 20% of the world. That shows the
view that god has of the human race.
+AgnosticProle Oh, that's interesting. You don't think Jesus's teachings were good, too? You say "your god is a failure" but Jesus certainly was not a failure. It's people who fail. That's why Jesus came to show us the way. He came to make it possible for the Holy Spirit to return to man's heart. If we repent and choose Jesus - every day. Constantly. I honestly don't remember what the 7 laws of Noah are. You mind refreshing me?
I follow the seven laws of noah. When I wrote that first comment I only meant the christian g-d. I think a person could keep the 7 laws of noah even if you didn't know who noah was.
+AgnosticProle what religion are you? My point was that people do the work of God, and they do the work of evil. So people shouldn't say God is powerless when they see the world is being turned on its head by people who don't believe in (or, hate) God. Doesn't make sense to me.
It's not god's will for people to burn in hell you say? If something is out of god's will, "he" is not god. Preaching an old book that is just as evil as "good" means nothing. It's a myth, and a poor one at that, that goes against ALL OBSERVATIONS.Here is your bible word for word. Exodus 21:7-11 When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment.Cute......your god again. Ephesians 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. That is JUST the slavery nonsense. You can cherry pick the bible for the things you only agree with, but it doesn't change your book. Do you agree with those verses above?
The million dollar question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here's a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. You broke God's Law, but Jesus paid your fine. That means He can legally dismiss your case. He can commute your death sentence: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus alone, and God will grant you the gift of everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.
