Sometimes it's fun to play against an old team because you leave on bad terms and you want to hand it to them. But these guys I mostly got along with, and ...
So lately I have been having lots of issues because I'm nervous. I will be
nervous about a shot and I'll choke up and let in a soft goal, do you have
any advice or tips on how to deal with nerve.
+Hockey Goalie I know exactly what you're talking about, it used to kill me all the time. I use a technique called "Envision Success" so about 30 minutes or so before I go out for warmups, I'll find a quiet place I can be alone, throw on my pregame warmup tracks, and close my eyes and simply imagine myself making the saves. Imagine all kinds of scenarios, hard, difficult saves, and the simple, easy ones. For me this helps me clear my mind of everything except the game in hand, and even if it's just pretend, giving yourself a confidence boost before the game helps a lot. In game, if you let in a goal, whether it be weak or a good goal, just give your head a shake, clear it from your mind and focus on making the next save, because that's what matters now. The last shot is over, take on the next one. I find that blocking things out while you're playing and giving the game your 100% attention is the thing that works best. Good luck!
+Hockey Goalie It happens to all of us, trust me. I don't have any miracle advice, but the best advice I do have is to take it one shot at a time, and make sure you're prepared in warmups. Some people don't like the way I warm up -- just standing there and letting it hit me -- but it allows me to get a good feel for the puck. Then I go into the game confident in my gear, my positioning, and the way I'll move for rebounds. It works for me and that's all that matters. Hope that somehow helps! Good luck!!
good game. busy games are my favorite. I usually get on the zone and give
my guys a chance to win even if they are badly outmatched. I don't see any
major technical flaws in your game. I'm not exactly a goalie coach anyway.
just an amateur self taught tendy. But I'm happy to trade notes anytime.
I use the GoPro suction cup mount, which works beautifully. No issues with it at all. It has even been hit a few times, and has only incurred damage to the mount and not the camera.
+Gee Smack Joey Pads I can appreciate that! I don't mind a busy game.. as long as we win. :) Otherwise I like a plain ole game where I'm just there to look good. :)
+Jake Barry LOL Funny thing is he has one of the best snap shots I've EVER faced. He has an incredible snapper/wrister, but not sure why he tried the slapper there.
VIDEO TEASER: B-29 Doc Engine Start & Test (Cockpit Cam 1)
This is a short clip of the engine start from Sept. 18, 2015 of B-29 Doc. A full version of the engine start will also be posted.
The sirens sounded around 9:30pm for a tornado that was spotted on the SouthEast side of town. Not much damage done around here, but on the other side of ...
Okay...maybe my town is just wierd, but it seems that when everyone else
has a warning, their tone is sustained or is this just how you edited it?
In my town, we sustain tone when the warning is issued before the storm
actually hits and then move to an attack wail when the storm is actually
upon us. Though sometimes, we just go straight to the attack wail.
It's hard to hear the sirens here. I wasn't even aware they were going off
until my mom called me and told me I should come over. I was watching the
weather but I was clueless the sirens were going off. They really need to
put up more around my area.
Thanks for posting this. Big fan of our sirens. REALLY wish they wouldn't
have gone with the ATI's. I hate the sound of those SOO much. Long live the
T-1000's
Talk to your city council representative! For us the neighbours complained
so they ran sound checks during tests and determined a new siren was
needed.
I tip my hat to any Texan who went through a monster like that. We simply
don't have weather like that on the West Coast - either it's sorta' raining
or it's not. A strong wind would be 40 MPH (and would make the news). Hail
once every year or two - size of peas (or smaller) lasting maybe 2 - 3
minutes. Thunderstorms are so rare that everyone goes out and watches them.
I should thank my lucky stars but Christ, the weather is SO-DAMN-BORING.
Here's hoping that the feds take care of the victims.
What viewers should know about this tornado is that it went thru either a
junkyard or auto storage place. It picked up at least 7 pickup trucks and
cars (no one in them) and sucked them up and spit them out at @ 1000 ft.up,
then shot them out of the rotation at what was measured @ 90mph. You can
see this happening at @ 5:53, where 2 of them are getting vaulted. Video of
these vehicles later showed them all absolutely flattened...maybe 2 ft.
high. This nader made missiles out of everything.
PART 2 I'm sure you'll be able to find the 3-tape VHS once you get to the
T.Project's website. Now, Dr. Charles Doswell, perhaps HE himself has
footage of that incredible event for sale. He's wildly popular and busier
than heck within the scientific community, so contacting him might be
tough. BUT, he's part owner, or has some kind of interest, in a tornado
chase tour group called TEMPEST TOURS. Go to their website, see if you can
contact him, and ask about buying his footage. Good Luck!
I have a 3 VHS-tape that I ordered from THE TORNADO PROJECT in Vermont. It
has this tornado on it, but it's been so long since I watched it, I think
this tornado was shot not by this cop, but by another chaser/tornado guru
named Dr. Charles Doswell. As I remember, Doswell's footage, incorporated
into the Tornado Project's video that they sell...showed the crushed trucks
post-tornado. Google the Tornado Project and go to their website to order
it. See my PART 2 to finish my post
@MadHornetSeries Yeah, I've seen it before. This tornado also threw a 15
ton lathe through the air, can you believe it? The tornado seemed to be in
its shrinking stage too. There's very few images of damage from this
tornado but I saw some in a video (which I can't find again) and several of
the business buildings the tornado struck in the industrial park were swept
clean. Makes me wonder how people could've rated it a F3 at first.
omg! We here in Indiana have tornadoes, but they seem to hit further OUT of
the city, more so out in what I call the boonies. Tho as soon as I say that
1 will rip my roof off, haha! Most homes here in the midwest are built with
basements to escape exactly what we're seeing here. Ans that basement is
exactly where I'd be if I saw something like that coming!
This tornado was very odd from the beginning... Its movement was very
sporatic and was virtually standing still... It basically had a mine of its
own, like a rebelious teenager that refuses to listen to his parents, The
teenager was angry at his parents and was taking it out on the world...
lol i remember the day before this tornado i had been partying all night
and slept all the next day.... i woke up when i heard the sirens looked
outside and the tornado was a few blocks from my house and i was ass
naked......
I've always wondered how twisters would look like from a cop's view and
think how that they would somehow stop a tornado. ok stupid I know I come
from quake country and idk shit about tornadoes but I am fascinated by them.
you all should check out this powerful tornado that hit pampa texas back in
95. i had never seen this dashcam footage before, this is a big one,
i highly recommend you guys watch this one,it is spectacular,
I have a VHS where it has this video, a documentary the NOAA in Amarillo
did, and footage of the the damage. It truly is incredible what this storm
did to pampa, but even more the fact no one was killed.
@MadHornetSeries Exactly. This was a narrow elephant trunk-stovepipe, yet
it attained wind speeds of around 250 mph. Some say this tornado has the
most violent rotation of any they've ever seen.
I was born a year after this happened. My family was pretty worried. Not my
uncle. He must have balls to just stay there on the couch when this tornado
was happening. What a crazy uncle I have.
i live in tornado alley, had bad storms last week an had one touch down in
our town an a few more in surrounding towns, their fucking the most
beautiful scariest shit ever haha
i remember watching that tornado from my grandmas house, if you listen when
his phone rings he says "debbie get everybody inside". he was talking to my
grandma, debbie.
