about 7 hours - and yes, it sucked, although dutchboy does most of the mornings. I was blissfully asleep in the back. :) (I got to drive through the ice on the way up, though, so it evens out)

This video is at Vic's Pond, Sedgwick County Park, Wichita, Kansas. Trout season October 15 to April 15. Yesterday, the last Saturday of July, 2012, I was there in the evening, catching Smallmouth Bass on nearly every cast.

Respectively, I would've chose Salina which is 90 miles north of Wichita. It has one of the longest runways and Hawker Beechcraft used to be there. You a can actually land a 737/A320 on it, stop, take off and still have plenty of runway left over. Few airports can boast that and the fact that it used to be the Schilling Air Force Base in WWII, home of the 58th Bombardment Wing. They tested the B-47 and B-29 there, Steve Fossett flew from Salina to Salina in the first nonstop, non-refueled solo circumnavigation of the earth on a closed course, setting a new record. All in all, I was kind of dissapointed you didn't pick this one, but still, good choice.

Never heard of it until now. I picked Wichita mainly because of all the aircraft manufacturers in the area. Also, because it's a good location on the map. Wikipedia shows the longest runway is over 120,000 feet. There are some bigger ones out there. Still pretty big tho. If I can remember, I might choose it in Air Hauler 2.

Wichita, Kansas is well considered the aircraft capital of the world, hosting a Boeing factory, plus the headquarters of both Beechcraft and Cessna.

It's from speeding up the time. I use EZDok camera which has dynamic head movements. When you up the speed like 4x or 8x it shakes like crazy because all the head movements in such a short amount of time.

@marthamclain - Oh you made me laugh! It is interesting that you should bring that up. I went out to get something to eat during the game and as it happened, caught the reflection of the half time show in the window of the restaurant. One thing that really struck me was all of the flashing lights and colors - they reminded me of the flashing cutouts on the satellite loops. Sadly the little girl at the table next to me was also partaking of the all of the half naked people...
