Yes, Just get better dogs. You can search specifically livestock guardian breeds. We have an Akbash/Anatolian mix. Born in a barn surrounded by goats and sheep, and raised with our chickens. He does chase them around for fun occasionally, but has never harmed a chicken. They sleep under the tree with him and drink from his water bowl. Two days ago he chased a fox away to protect them. If you have to fence your dogs in to keep them away from your animals you have the wrong breed of dog. 

I believe you need to get Farm dogs, or raise them from pups to get used t the company.
