Mine threw a rod at 95k. So I decided to buy a used 3SFE and put it in. I can't believe how easy that passenger axle came out for you. Me, banging on it for two days. Finally cut it and threw it away. Got used replacement axle with bracket on ebay for $50 delivered. Also, after seeing how difficult it was to pull the power steering unit I decided to leave mine on while pulling the engine, it really wasn't in the way. I concluded that's the way they must do it in Nippon, even though the manual says pull it. B.S. I just drained the fluid and disconnected the hoses. Anyways, your video got my psyched up to do it myself. Thanks brotha! And darn, for some reason my AC compressor decided to die, probably didn't like sitting unused for two weeks, so it's off to ebay again for a $50 used replacement.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+grahamycracker I thought the same thing. His axles came out easy. Mine were a bitch to remove.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+grahamycracker I had the same issue with the passenger axle bearing/bracket corroded as if welded together. I also cut the axle. It might be possible to pull the axle/bracket slightly away from the engine block to clear the locating stubs and remove it without cutting the axle in two. It's also good to put some anti-seize on the bearing before installing it in the bracket to make things easier for the next time it needs replacement.

+Imabeatyouman Subaru recommends launching the way I said (traction control off) this way you get just a little bit of wheel spin so that way you get less drive train shock cause the wheels spin just a little thus taking away some of the shock to the drive train. If you google how to launch a WRX it should come up. Car and driver or road and track have an arrival about it stating they did this some 11 times in a row with the car seeming upset at all. They asked Subaru how to launch it. That's how Subaru said to do it. Then they asked the same question u did basically. They asked "so the WRX can handle that?" Then the Subaru guy giggled back to them "haha oh yea"

where did you get the orange prayer ruler thing? seems like you need it for tranny removal?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Okaythen001 no problem. if you look at the side of the little snappers, or plastic rivets, or whatever the technical name for them, there's actually a built in gap in the one side of them for a flat head to be wedged in so that you can pry upwards.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+psychoocysp flathead screw driver awesome, also thanks for the video
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Okaythen001 Oooh, that thing. That's just a trim tool, which I think I may have also bought at harbor freight. You don't necessarily need it. You can just use a flathead screw driver instead, but I will say that those tools do come in handy and they won't damage the plastic parts like a screwdriver will. I invested in the trim removal toolset because I work on my car a lot so they've come in handy.

@MrBillybudge r u using a car lift ,or a car jack and stands????????drop the ball joint on the drivers side, take the drive out on the passanger side, use two axel stands under the car, and one under the engine, and a chain or rope and a iron bar ,to hold the engine up, when removing the gear box mount, or use two jacks, its a job for a mechanic, with 4 years experince, or more,

@MrBillybudge bandit country, northern ireland, the hub nuts on the panda are never tight, use a heavy 30 mm socket 3/4 drive, if u have one to slacken, with wheels on the ground, easy,

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-RygiiNeJZnM/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAVo/34VhF0hAqD4/photo.jpg?sz=64
+curtis hutton Your tq will have alignment pins that mate to the holes in the bell housing on the transmission. If these are not exactly lined up, the trans will not fully mate o the engine. Don't worry, this was the hardest part I had when installing my tranny. Took a few days for me to get it up...gl!

The way to do this is hitting the brake while pushing the gas pedal and then let the brake pedal go while keep on pushing gas, right?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
Say you wanna get a good start should you just floor it and hope your car does the rest or go halfway or even less on the gas pedal cuz i found that flooring it mkes my car seem to take off alot slower?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
My car is like that and I think it's because your car takes a second or two to shift into a higher gear before actually moving where as if you press it like 3/4 the way it starts immediately in a lower gear so it accelerates quicker
