Best wishes for a very Terrapin holiday from the University Libraries.
Stauffer: Raise Your Books
Raise Your Books, a Spontaneous Musical in Stauffer Library. Based on the Original Song "Raise Your Glass" - By P!nk, we just parodied it. All music are ...
My exchange year at Queen's was the best year of my life (so far) - this
kinda shows why! But... why couldn't you guys have sung this last year?! It
would have made the exchange rock even more... but well done, and if you
ever feel like doing a flash singing mob at the University of St Andrews,
we'll welcome you! :D
Look, I loved my time at Queen's. And I'm glad stauffer kids got a good
distraction. But I'm not gonna pretend that prangstgrup didn't do this way
better in 06 with "Reading on a Dream"
You got to love Queen's and Stauffer. I was in class when this happened
*sadface* big pride right now. Love how this was for a class. Like if you
are as jealous as me hahaha.
Wow... omg after 4 years of high school it's finally time for me to decide
which uni to go to... This vid really brought our the school spirit in
Queen's. Simply contagious!
this makes me happy. amidst all the tragedy we are facing, we still see the
value of coming together to put this together and light everyone's day. :)
Queen's. Loves. U.
The overwhelming majority of these "book raisers" are white and privileged.
They should try raising some awareness regarding the plight of victims of
U.S. imperialism!
Ah shit, can't study for exams now.. this is way to entertaining.
Michael Chabon - Story Hour in the Library
Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist, screenwriter, columnist and short story writer Michael Chabon's books include Mysteries of Pittsburgh, Wonder Boys, The ...
I once met Michael Chabon at a signing. Very nice man, highly eloquent, and
more social than authors tend to be. I've written more about that
experience on my blog called coreysbook on wordpress.
A not so brief tour of my book shelf. Kabbalah ~ 00:29 Wicca Books~ 1:18 "Leisure" Reading~ 1:53 Poetry Stuff~ 2:31 Philosophy Lit.~ 3:08 Ancient Philosophy~ ...
It's an encyclopedia. The title is mythology myths, legends and fantasies. It has a bunch of contributors and oddly enough I can't find any publishers info. I got it second hand so maybe that page fell out, the spine is in pretty bad shape.
+Pagan Scholar how interesting. I'll note and look out for both. I'm pretty much mired in the mudane, so I am open to something with gossamer touches. your channel really should be more popular. like the four queens you go deep and I appreciate that you do more than a tarot or book flip. look forward to seeing more.
+Dmoon1234 To be honest, I might have gotten Bishop and Rich backwards. Whereas Bishop does transcend the moment, her metaphors are still pretty tangible. And while Rich has tangible imagery, her poetry is a bit more ephemeral and feminist than Bishops. Both heavily feminine, yet aloof and evanescent. It will be difficult to pick and choose poems for the series on Tarot and poetry im thinking about doing in the future.
+Pagan Scholar oh ok. it looked interesting. I like reading about the origins/history of demons and angels etc. so i thought it was worth a peak but look forward to a future review(s). i love poetry. I am stuck on the romantics at the moment but I will definitely check her out. I could do with something otherworldy. thanks again. you've given me some new authors to explore.
+Dmoon1234 haha yea the "Angels and Demons" book got cut in editing. The author is Sarah Bartlett. It's... Not the most academic book in the world. I'll be doing my very first negative review on that book in the future. The "Empress" of poetry I mentioned is Adrienne Rich but she's probably more like ... Idk, THE WORLD, or the moon or something way more transcendent than the empress. I love her work. It's amazing.
+Pagan Scholar thank you very much for the reply. I will look further for these authors. two last things, at the beginning of the video it looked like you had a scholarly book titled demons and angels. who is the name of the author? and who is the poet you called "the empress of poetry".
Miguel de Unamuno "tragic sense of life" is a Phil book of his and he wrote novels too. Joseph Zobel wrote Black Shack Alley and though I don't think he's a died in the wool existentialist, I do think he wrote something that harmonizes with existential growth and questions. I'm glad you liked the video!

He has one of the most beautiful male voices I've ever heard. I love his
work, and hearing it in his voice is incredible. I just hope that whenever
he speaks next, he's louder.
