Finally got around to installing the Warp9 wheels on the Fe501 Husky and took it out on a test ride with a fellow rider to see how it does. Makes me want to try ...
+North50 gotcha, I saw one of the reviews on the six day recently and heard the real brakes are not slotted or drilled and are thicker than what comes on the 500excf. I was trying to see how they can justify selling the six day for $11,400 opposed to husky's $10,600.
+dangazder1 The FE501 and the KTM 500 six days share the 4CS front forks as far as I know and I've never heard anything about the brakes being different?
I'm still new to this, so forgive me for my ignorance. You have an enduro
bike and you put road tires on it. I've red that enduro brakes/discs (260mm
front/200mm rear like the ones that come with this bike) aren't enough or
recommendable when turning stock enduro into a supermoto bike, that braking
power isn't that good, so some people change their stock discs with larger
320mm front, 220/240mm rear. Did you do the same or you went with the stock
disc size?
+North50 I would drive mostly around the town and some off-road stuff, definitely no racing. That's actually what I wanted to find out, how do these brakes behave on road and around the city, thanks!
+grgson1 I just used the stock disc and they worked fine for around town. If you're going to race probably not a bad idea to use the larger ones but I like to easily switch the bike from endure to supremoto.
+North50 Coming to US in February 2016! Gonna be awesome for you guys to have a SuMo for the street, which you don´t have to revise every 1000 miles! ;-)
