Understanding how processor RAM & hdd performance affect speed
Macs are known for their quality and high performance, but they can slow down over time, especially when they're loaded up with demanding applications.
RAM timings explained: Frequency vs Latency
RAM timings. Those weird numbers. What do they mean and how do they affect overclocking and performance? Find out! CPU-Z: ...
I always overclock for maximum efficiency for the ammount of speed. I guess
what you would call the 'sweet spot'. Meaning, I won't overclock to
monsterous frequencies if it requires high amounts of voltage and also
timings.
I think it's possible for hardware to perform worse even if it is
overclocked more, simply because it's very unstable or possibly safety
features are in place to prevent the crash or instability of hardware.
Overclocking is all about finding what is best, and sometimes it means
going down in to not so out-there speeds but also have a decent voltage
requirement and keeping reasonable timings.
I just got more ram, the game now works with "High" textures, it doesn't affect game's performance if you change that setting (unless you have 4GB of RAM), the ...
+Santiago Santiago. from what i see I should nail it at max on 768p and good enough performance on 1080p.Btw if i may ask you for advice.Should i buy an i5 4690k for the overclocking or i shouldn't bother?
Oye tengo un amigo que quiere jugar al juego con esto y le pone que no
tiene los requisitos minimos.
GPU: GeForce GTX 950
CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3 - 4170 CPU @ 3.70 GhZ
Memoria: 8,00GB de Ram (7,94 GB utilizables)
Resolucion Actual: 1980 x 1080, 60 Hz
Sistema Operativo: Microsoft Windows 7

I built the same computer as you but without an i3 4150 i got an i 4690k
overclocked it 4Ghz do you think i can get 60fps on 1336x768 on high
settings?
Level 3 Cache - Does it affect Gaming Performance? 3MB Vs. 8MB Vs. 15MB
FINALLY the time has come to share the results of the level 3 cache testing that I recently conducted, and low behold the results were kind of anti-climatic and 'as ...
+295Phoenixgames have many engines: Physics, Storyline, audio, graphics, animations, and then other background applications, so 6 cores for me is minimum. since AMD does a better job at hyperthreading a quad core CPU than intel (fx 8350) then i guess 8 cores are good, and since i youtube on different account, 8 cores would be bomb. but you're right, 2 or 3 cores on cpu are game, the rest are based on sound processor and graphics card, but are both linked back to cpu. so technically moar is bettar.
+Aldion SylkajI'll be happy if you're right but it just seems unlikely to me that games will go from mostly using 2 cores to using 6-8 cores just like that.
+295Phoenixi agree, but i man most new games that will come out late thisyear or early next yr most likely support 6 or more, but games with physx would be nice to have the extra cores for background applications too.
+Aldion SylkajToo bad most games don't make good use of more than 2 cores. I have an FX-9370 now and I used to have a Core i5. You can just tell the difference when playing cpu-bound games.
HI Tech YES City. I brought a G3258 as i at the time of my PC upgrade i
dident have the money for the i7 4790K, And i must say its at good CPU, i
can play the latest games at around 60 FPS sutch as GTA 5 and Witcher 3. I
just set the settings so that it's about 65-70 FPS and then i enable
V-sync. Im picking up the i7 4790K tomorrow though. im using a GTX 780.
+Tech YES City HI there, i just want to tell you that the new CPU (i7 4790K) runs great. I OC the CPU to 4,7Ghz and the Cache to 4,5Ghz both at 1,28V And i ran Cinebench and got a score of 933. So i got me a great CPU there. And now i can enter Novigrad in Witcher 3. That was pritty hard with the G3258, so i just made a u-turn and ran back out again on the G3258.
+JAnx01 I think having none could be a bad thing, especially from all the comments i have read about people on Athlons getting a crap experience with games in general. There is a comment above in this video actually stating exactly that... Though ever since the g3258 came out the only CPU (or 2) I have been recommending from camp AMD is the fx-6300 and the 8320.
AMD 3870K APU 1600MHz RAM Benchmark
I run comparison benchmarks to see if memory frequencies affect the performance of AMD's A8 3870K Black Edition APU. This is the second round featuring ...
The brand of the case doesn't matter as long as air is flowing through it.
I've used it with and without a Radeon 6670. I have other videos running
these same benchmarks with that video card. Performance was better with a
discrete graphics card. One slot of 8GB of RAM is probably better than Two
slots of 4GB. I'm using a high-end motherboard so that could explain any
speed differences if you aren't using this board.
and do u install a dedicated graphics card in it? or u play games using the
graphics card onboard, i found that the graphics card onboard which is HD
6550D cant play the Sniper Elite in medium setting. i feel the spiky... :(
i didnt overclock anything. all are ori.
2x 4gb is much better than one 8gb ram because dual cannel is faster then
single channel because it has a bigger memory bus because there are two
buses for 8gb instead of one bus my performance grows a lot when i used my
second ram module
