2012 Nottingham - Court 6 practice on the practice courts (a mown area of turf on the edge of a cricket oval) with Rajeev Ram, Amer Delic and Brian Baker.
It's not just the shoulder. It's the weight behind the ball. There is one
noticeable difference btwn his serve and Sampras. If you look at Sampras
serve, and then slow mo the two- you'll notice the slight difference in the
way these two serve. Sampras turns more, and when he finishes his serve,
his racket and body doesn't go that down- he finishes more upright as
opposed to coming down as much as most players would.
how is his serve like sampras??? the styling is the same...
but sampras' precision ???? sampras never even looked towards the line he
was aiming at , and would chalk the lines just about EVERYTIME even on his
second serve !
altho I'm indian and should be supporting rajeev ram.... his talent is NO
WHERE CLOSE to THE GREAT PETE SAMPRAS !
These practise session highlights make Ram look like he should be right up
there in any grass court singles tournament. I know he plays doubles so has
good volley skills.
