can u ask ur friend what tranny and transfer case he used in this? i have a
driveline from a 97 chev blazer. but the front drive shaft doesnt ine up
with the stock front diff. plz and thanks!

Keep it a 2.3! You don't know how rare an '89+ 2.3 4x4 is do you haha. I
spent the last two years trying to find one for sale here in the northeast
that wasn't a complete pos to go along with my '91 2wd (which is the exact
twin as yours minus being a 2wd). Just bought a 2.3 4x4 one this week which
oddly is very similar to your ranger and my 2wd, '92 longbed, tan interior,
shade darker tan/brown exterior, xlt. Mine has factory manual hubs &
transfer case though. Plans are to swap the 2.3 in the 4x4 with one out of
a thunderbird turbocoupe which is a factory 2.3 turbo engine. I've down the
swap on my '91 2wd and love it!!

It's still a 2.3 but I have 2 4.0's that I still want to put one of them in
it. It's just so weak but still runs good. The exterior is not a factory
color. It was in a small fender bender and the insurance paid to have the
whole thing painted. Its more of a shinier gold that the more browner
factory color. I like the color though.
