This is not stock r129, I have a 1993 500sl, top speed is 155mph or
249km/hour, has custom Magna flow and gutted cat with resonator
Running maybe 340 horsepower.
I like to know what modes besides the exhaust and air filter replacement
used!

going down hill will NEVER shrink that much time. the claimed acceleration and a broken in Mercedes are 2 totally different galaxies... for example... my clk430 is claimed at 6.1.... it actually does 5.65... STOCK.

+namdar79 es ist baujahrabhängig.Die C Klasse W202 von 1993-1995 startet bei 20!Ab 1995 bei 0

+namdar79 Ja, ok. Dann versteht man deine aussage aber falsch, da man davon ausgeht, dass alle R129 aus Deutschland bei 20 anfangen ;)

+Flasche23 Doch ab 20 km/h! Aber es ist so das es in die R129 (und vielleicht auch bei der W140) mehrere Tachos gab, Abhängig von Modellpflege und Baujahr. Von 1989 bis ende 1992 (R129 mit Motoren Palette 300SL/300SL24) startet das Tacho ab 20 km/h, und nach ein Modellpflege ab 0 km/h. ;)

Nein, das stimmt nicht ;) Unser W140 von '93 startet bei 0 ^^ Und der hat im Prinzip den selben Tacho, wie der R129 ;)

No, what Abdullah says is correct. The speedometer starts at "0" and not at
20. And though the 500SL is beastly fast, it does not accelerate as fast as
shown in this video. I think this video is fake. Nice try.... ;-)

+John D. Court If you'd looked a little bit further to see my next reaction a little while ago, you would have kept your socks on. For a 44 year old you react like an adolescent. Yes, the speedometer of the older models did start at 20kmh, but there are models that have them starting at 0 kmh! I have seen them! Maybe because it was an upgrade model , I don't know. Therefore no reason to react like you do! Thank you!

Bullshit, look at his speedometer where is the 0 and where is the 10 kmh
numbers on that speedometer? He's starting the car while going 20 km/h??

+mumu Just checked, but the older 500sl did start at 20kmh.... But I can not believe this is stock. You have done some work with the engine and gearbox, am I right?
