"Horsepower sells cars, torque WINS RACES." - Carroll Shelby That's why I
take the torquey MB over this 'passionate' Maserati. Tim used to like
Maserati probably b/c it felt lighter and now they're sluggish due to more
stringent safety standards which did not affect MB as much as the others as
they've always been heavy cars w/o being sluggish due to TORQUE, not
horsepower. In fact, MBs have been getting sportier and is laughing all the
way to the bank while others suffer.
@usernamesbeenused no actually the shifters work just perfect, i own the GT
not the GT-S, and ive been using the F1 shifters for 2 years, im not using
the Auto mode anymore, it gives u a great feeling, and about the cornering,
believe me, no one does it better than Maserati, The wide rear wheel base
and the 470 trq does it all, its just amazing, whether ur on the street or
on the Track, it is the best, and the Mercedes is way out of the Maserati's
league.
@unknownunknowns They own 2 british car companies, not all of them. Quite
frankly, as long as they don t get their hands on aston martin and jag it's
fine by me. I'm not the biggest fan of top gear tbh, especially now that
they put bmws on the cool section of the cool wall, but still they are way
better than any german show will ever be. Not to forget that germans do
suck at life badly, they never laugh, they're always sad, basically they
suck man.
@daibadrumu Then Germany is number two in the world but that much more
impressive considering that it has 85 million people and it is higher than
my country and it has 300 million. Then, as a German, you should enlighten
me b/c based on the cars I see it seems they don't change as much as
non-German cars yet produce impressive results, like the Porsche 911.
It would be better to try the GT-S, with f1 cambiocorsa gearbox and the
skyhook system. It is very good on track. The GT with the automatic gearbox
made for daily use, for city use, etc., not for track. The car refuses to
corner? Blah. Almost 47-53% (front-rear) balance of the weight (for the
GT-S, for the GT is almost the same), the car loves the corners.
@daibadrumu It's true they never laugh but sad? If they were so sad, then
they would not be successful in America and all over as they are. In fact,
I don't recall seeing a lot of Jags, Range Rovers here in California. Just
remember, Germany is the NUMBER ONE exporter in the world. I've looked at
the German culture, and they are a culture of enhancement.
i own a maserati GT myself, i never faced any problem regarding the
seatbelt, the F1 shifter works perfectly, i cant see why thats happening
with him in the video it really gives you a beautiful sports feeling when
using the sport mode which he didnt seen to use, and it is a very fast car
compared to the wieght and size of the car. :)
@unknownunknowns I was actually considering replying you untill you said
germany is the number one exporter in the world, which has shown how much
of a retard you are. China is the number one exporter in the world, for
quite a while actually. You've looked at the german culture, i live in
germany. I think i know better.
Actually i do not expect from a German to tell something good about someone
else and especially an Italian.. My opinion is that these cars were made
for the public roads, and not to participate into formula 1 raicing
championiship.. I wish i could have a Maserati GranTurismo like this!!!
Who cares who exports more from where? Back to the review - I think Tim and
D Motor do a fair review and do not hold back (regardless where the car was
manufactured). Tim is an amazing driver and provides knowledgeable,
understanding feedback to car idiots like myself. Cheers!
@daibadrumu No, It was a hypothesis based on my analysis of the video and
my considerable experience and skill in cars and driving. If you would care
to dispute my conclusions then please provide me with more information as
your statement really gives me nothing to work with.
@daibadrumu Germans suck at life? You mean it suck that they control
British car companies. What does that tell you? Also, I have this love/hate
thing for Top Gear b/c, on one hand, they are entertaining, but, on the
other, they can be mischievious and crazy.
one part of the video when he's having a problem getting/reaching his
seatbelt, I got have a maserati GTS too, and i got the seatbelt reaaly
quick in my hand already!!! ths guy is a douche bag!!!!
you must got the gts. the maser in the test is a gt which doent come with
f1 gearbox & skyhook suspension. gts is much better than SL AMG and audi R8
V8. sound of gts is amazzzzzzzing!!
Maserati Power!!!!!!!!!! Maserati VS Mercedes ahahahaahahah Maserati vs
porsche ok Ferrari vs Lamborghini ok maserati vs bmw ahahahahaahahahahahah
maserati vs WW ahahahahahahahahahahah
@nicliman of course the kraut is going to be critical of this fantastic car
because it's not german. I don't know any real driver that would choose a
merc over the gts
@malcolmry You said it's built for the american market. If it's a joke,
well it's a really bad one. If not, well then our discussion is pretty much
over.
@goodq8 lucky u have such a nice car! i was gonna get a gts in 2008 with f1
shifter but financial crisis came ... still, its always been my favorite
one.
