Donald 'Authoritarian' Trump is just making promises he can't keep. It's no surprise that Donald is doing well in the polls. He's good for media ratings therefore he gets the most coverage (media plays a huge part on who wins the nomination regardless of how bad a candidate is portrayed, how good, or misleading it still benefits the candidate) Ratings is the only important thing to the corporate media not informing the people of what they need to know. The majority of voters vote based on sensationalism and theatrics of the candidate; their record, principles, and history is of no importance to them. Trump "points" have no backstory or any historical value to back he's views. He just says things like "I'm going to do great things, I'm going to treat our vets very well, I'm going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it" This kind of rhetoric is baseless and holds no true value. Trump knows nothing of history, foreign policy, or the Constitution; that's why whenever they get to issues that require a response with substance during the debates Trump just sits there with his thumb in his mouth and says nothing because he doesn't know anything about policy. He steers clear of giving specifics and only provides entertainment to a crowd who is so completely fed up with the GOP (rightfully so) that they now are putting their trust into someone they technically know nothing about. People are just taking Trump's word for it and assuming he's going to follow through with his vague promises because he's not a politician so that must mean he's genuine. He's practically giving the election to the democrats by alienating the very same people the GOP needs to win the general election, blacks and hispanics. Doesn't matter if you're rhetoric isn't technically racist or if you're not trying to infuriate potential republican voters of color that is how it comes across to significant amount of minority voters (including muslim) voters needed to win the White House. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but Trump looks more like a democrat mole everyday. I don't know what's worse, giving Donald the codes to nuclear warheads or giving the codes to criminal Clinton.
