I echo jonnoedwardo's comment. The video mentions two tracks of learning:
Music & Performing Arts and Music & Worship, but it focuses solely on the
latter. Why does it gloss over the other program? I also graduated from the
Performing Arts program. With a degree that qualifies me to teach in public
schools (something that Music & Worship cannot offer), why is my program
not highlighted as preparing students to be "Champions for Christ" as well?
Is there another video for Performing Arts?
Why does this video only focus on the "Center for Music and Worship"? As a
graduate from the program of "Music and Performing Arts" it's interesting
to see the direction that the music department is headed. In addition, 139
credits to graduate with a music teaching degree? This is the highest
credit degree at the university...I could get an aviation or philosophy
degree for 19 less credits. I would suggest changing some of the
policies/practices. "If it's Christian it should be better."
I agree with several of the comments concerning this video. From this video
it is easy to think that the School of Music is becoming something for
contemporary worship leader types. However as a current student of the
School of Music, I can tell you that is not the true. The School of Music
is about training musicians as champions of Christ, that's it. In reality
the departments are equal even though the video might not reflect it.
Oh boy, I am so happy to have graduated from the school of "Music and
Performing Arts." I appreciate, though it is obvious what is the more
highly acclaimed (yet less professionally marketable) track of the two. Go
Flames!
I have to wonder why comments are being removed when people are just
expressing their opinions regarding the lack of time the M&P.A degree is
explained and discussed.

Thank you, LU, for sending this video to my home. I was growing weary with
completing this degree. With four children and a husband who constantly
deployed, I've had many difficult times since beginning this journey. This
video has renewed my strength and determination to finish. GO FLAMES!

My son started his freshman year at Liberty in 2008. As the years
progressed i saw such a growth in him. From an introverted, shy and awkward
boy, to a extroverted dynamic christian man! He plans to wed a lovely woman
he graduated with in November 2012. I have come to know Liberty University
as World Class exciting school!!
Kristal Dahlager is one of the most inspirational people I have ever met. I
met her during her first year of law school through my older sister and got
to know her through her second and third years of law school. She is an
amazing person and I am truly blessed and honored to count her as a friend
Beautiful testimonies of strength and courage that can only come from
God!!~~I am a proud online student of Liberty and am looking forward to
graduating with my BS degree in May 2013. Praying for all that must endure
hardships and set backs as we endeavor to reach our goals.
I'm a liberty student in my first year of my undergrade degree, and I have
been struggling with personal and academic problems, I really needed to see
this tonight. It might have just kept me from giving up so thank you to the
students and makers of this film God bless.
Wow! So inspiring! I'm a new student to LU; beginning my graduate studies
in Public Health in the fall. This is just what I needed. God bless to all
those featured in this video and to all of the graduates of the class of
2012.
What an outstanding video production. It is clear that whatever Liberty
puts its hand to will prosper as the students are called to a higher level
of excellence for Christ. Go Liberty U!
I`m an atheist who hates religion but that young lady who overcame her
physical disabilities to get her PHD makes me proud to be a human being. I
hope she does well in her life.
