+ash edd This film has long been a favorite of mine, and I've just recently watched in on Blu-ray (it looks terrific). Doubtless, there was great bravery and discipline shown on both sides. Had the Zulus been trained and equipped as the British, and in similar numbers, it would have been a very bloody draw.

to be fair, the zulu's were brave enough to be slaughtered, they probably knew what was to come. the British were brave too, but not many have the right to make a comment as if superior invaders entered your country with superior weapons and equipment, i doubt many would take up arms. Yes the Zulu's were our enemy, but that doesn't mean we should disrespect them for it, i doubt there was much cowardice in the lines of zulu warriors. They truly believed in what they were fighting for, and they fought with everything for it.

+LawndaleLion No because if you watch the film or look at the history the zulu warriors actually used rifels they had taken from dead british soldiers. They just could not manufactuer them or make amunition for them hence they could not use them in any large numbers.

No, it shows how Zulu's are too scared to launch a full non-ceasing attack on brave British soldiers. In reality, Zulu were massacred worse than the actual movie. Europeans were educated and advanced- unlike the Africans, It is just a fact. If Africans were advanced, Europeans would have been massacred too no doubt, maybe even more massacred, who knows, but that's just now how it happened. Not racist. People who say its racist probably are the same people who say a black man getting shot by a white cop is racist when the black pulls out  a gun, everything is racist. BTW if you search for more info,  it is revealed only 17 Brits were killed, unlike in the film where Africans slaughter many more, so if anything this movie is non-racist and shows them way superior than they were.
