Real Celtic music fans know the difference between Irish music and neo-pagan folk music with an eclectic musical background ranging from Irish, English, Dutch, German, Finnish, and Breton folk sounds, to name a few. :)
+Zan Gha dude, this is actually a voice sing, something like with their voice make sounds like an instrument. Just words with nosense, but musically ;)
+Badfish3288 they take inspirations from various Celtic and Northern European sounds so it's very possible these songs could be more inspired by Finnish sounds. But Celtic music ranges all over Northern Europe, from what little I honestly know ^^"

South West Coast Path - South Cornwall
We rounded the corner at Land's End, and even though this was before the official half-way mark, it felt like a huge turning point and we were on our way home.
Thanks, I've seen your whole enjoyable story now, well done !
We've been to Cornwall & Devon on many an occasion and obviously walked a
lot of the coastal path through that, and my ambition is to do the whole
lot (over 90 days) with one of our 2 goldies. How did you get on with
Lamorna Cove as that was the hairiest bit I ever found with 2 dogs on a
lead clambering over rocks with a steep drop below on a few occasions, I
thought they should somehow make it safer but that was about 10 years ago
so it may have changed since (and I appreciate it's a balance with keeping
it natural), are there other hairy sections ? Would you advise starting at
the Dorset end as that seems to be the worst bit to get through, mud n all.
Thanks
+Darrell Grundy Thanks Darrell for the speedy reply. I can recommend what I've seen of the Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion coastal paths too, It's Cornwall without the commerciality but keep it quiet.....
+rob shelley I don't recall any hairy ledges along the whole path in 2015. I think they're constantly changing the path in relation to landslides. Granted, there are a few bits where if you go to the edge it can be a big drop down to the sea. Probably the hairiest experience was sitting on Black Head after Mevagissey, and our dog, Barney, decided to have a wander around the rocks and was centimetres away from falling down to sea if he lost his footing, and our hearts were beating like rabbits at that point, but aside from that, it seemed to be very safe. In terms of starting point, I think starting at Minehead is the more logical start, and in our experience the landmarks come in a nice sequence, and transport-wise it's quicker to get home for most from Poole rather than Minehead
Great trip , may i ask how much would you estimate cost for a solo trekker
to budget for this trip , kit aside , just general expenditure like
hotels, food i intend to carry 4 days and replen and camp out with the odd
luxury like a night in a YHA or BnB and pub food .
Difficult to estimate actually. We spent more on beer in pubs than we anticipated. After a hard day of hiking, and the repetition, you need something to reward yourself. I think you'll spend whatever you can afford, but leave an emergency pot for when the really bad weather moves in and you need a solid roof over your head
Jeff Healey Blues Band-Sittin`On Top Of The World-U.K 2007
A very special thanks to MR Robert Farmer from Carbis Bay, St Ives,Cornwall for shooting this footage of the late great Jeff Healey at the Islington Academy in ...
Not many covers of this that I like.. But this is the best.. (yes best!)
Thanks for the intensely great sound quality.. and for getting this up to
share.. All the info you posted here is very helpful. I have some cd buying
to do.. and I aint rich! But there are some priorities in life.. Jeff IS
one! Live music is the other, when possible.
nobody ever played quite the way he did. his limitations made him a unique
and incredible player because he had to find his own way. his soulfulness
and lyrical quality of both his "voices" were a treasure. he is terribly
missed a true genius as his interest went far beyond blues to many genres.
RIP Jeff. you are dearly missed shally
One of the things I never understood about the bluegrass folks--they speed
this song up so much that it kills the melody. I love BG, but that may be
my one big criticism! Thanks for this. Lordy, Mr. Healy had the talent!!! I
was so sorry to hear that he passed away!
An awesome display of musical prowess! And in a style where it really
counts, full of experts. I hope they play this rendition at my funeral.
Hell, listening, I AM sitting on top of the world!!!!! I hope you RIP Jeff
Healey Sir.
This is lovely. I am consistently a student of his playing and singing, so
thanks. I am also usually happy with how Healey appears to have given a
band the required space, particularly in a live context, if you know what I
mean.
He was Amazing ,,,,,RIP Jeff......Show'em how to pick up there ! Jeff
fought cancer all his life., He lost his sight as a child from it... I
think he had a few bought with it,. it was cancer that took him.. very sad.
jeff was out of this world, one of the better renditions of this song that i
have heard.jeff was truely amazing, just goes to show how much we should
thank god for what we have. And use our gifts for the better of man.
@santafecard saw a similar show, with the allmans and bb. dallas bluesfest.
the guy ran around on stage like like an eastside crackhead. great show,
little feat was not the same without lowell, but still awesome.
As someone who is visually impaired myself, a note on Jeff. He chose to
play the way he did, it had nothing to do with his being someone who was
blind, but rather a preference he had to play in this manner.
First time I was even aware of Jeff and his unique style of playing was
when I saw him in my all time favorite movie, ROADHOUSE. Someone asked what
key this is? It's in E on my little slide guitar.
Eye-cancer, since he was a child. It was his destiny, he was NEVER to
survive it. but he got 40+ years. Most people with eye-cancer say goodbye a
lot earlier. My very best and Rest In Peace, Jeff
love seeing him from the heart bobbing his head while playing this tune.
even though I'm not blind still bobbing my head the same way from the heart
on a very Kick A song!!!!!
i was fortunate enough to see him once in seattle at the ballard fire house
in 2000, i will never forget it or him. His music will live forever, god
bless you jeff
Rippin it up in fine style, ... he'll always have a special place in my
music collection RIP Mr Healey over 2 years on, and I still can't quite
beleive it.. :(
One of my favorite guitar players of all time. You rock man. RIP Jeff. 8(
