Full restoration of my 1969 Dodge charger. For everyone who has been asking, I put a 68' grille on it because it looks better. When I got it, it was a basket case.
Nice car, you have done a good job with this. @RAVENLEVIATHE, you can find
them if you look, don't waste your time in the junk yards. You might have
found something 15 years ago, not anymore. Take the back roads and look
everywhere, I know where there are several '68's that haven't moved for 20
years. ( I already have one ) look in out of the way places. You will not
find one setting out in the open. Also you should go to car shows and talk
to the owners of these cars, follow up on the leads yo
Love it! I was 9 years old in 69 and my parents bought a brand new Charger
RT/SE with a 440 and auto trans. There were numerous burn out streaks from
the front of our house to maybe 150 feet out. No brake burn outs with so
much smoke we could not see the houses across the street. No one called the
police. LOL, the good old days.
The reason that douchebag came on here saying "mustangs are pieces of shit"
is because everyone who doesn't drive a Mustang is envious of it's success.
The Mustang was THE ONLY muscle car being produced for awhile. The Mustang
has had the most success so whenever something is successful people are
going to be jealous and hate.
Defo the worst thing about living in ireland! What I would give to own such
a beautiful car, but between import tax, insurance, crap roads and the
price of petrol I don't think its even feasible. I do own a 200 horsepower
monster but unfortunately its a Massey ferguson!!!
@68bobba 68 looks like a 70 bro because the pillar thing int the middle is
missing on both the model years the 69 was the only one that had the bar in
the middle you cant expect anyone to know if they both looked alike. On the
other hand 68 tail lights do look quite nice
I have a 1969 Dodge Charger. I was wondering if you know why it won't
start. I checked the wires, the starter, and the battery is new. Would you
know Brian Choules what could be wrong? Thanks
Amazing Car, awesome work mate. Your decision of exchanging the grille is
completly right. The only thing I would change for my own, would be the
color. Wet black looks in my vision nicer
that looks great, I have a 69 Camaro we have now owned for 28 years, need a
resto, not as bad as the one you did, but just can't take the first step,,,
awesome work.
68 taillights would look better.....beautiful car by the way.....I used to
have a 68Charger(check ouy "68 Charger backing out of garage"...thats my
old car
@tonythedarkshooter1 You don,t know much about Chargers mate...thats a 68
front,not a 70...shame it doesn,t have 68 tail lights too...they look
better....
@lauder12345 came on a charger video to say mustangs are piece of shits?
wow... whats the point of this.. and this is about a charger not a mustang
...
If thats in the shape you found it in....That cars still in pretty dam good
shape for a barnfind.....My dad had a 68 similar to that color but a little
darker.....But he had it and got rid of it long before i was born.....His
was a factory model with a black roof,318 small block with the big trans
and rear on it and he said when he first bought it it was spottless and ran
like a champ.My first car was a 69 Camaro.
+RTCHARGER1970 Im watching your whole playlist now to see what all you guys are doing to it.....That must be a motherfucker to cut out the corner panels and reseal them.....But yes my Camaro had a 396 in it but it had alot of work in the engine....It would spin tires even in the beginning of second gear......Driving is something i knew how to do since i first left my diapers......Its really self explanitory how to drive....One of the easiest but most successful talents to have....And i think your Charger was the best year but im not a Charger man....I like the Coronet Superbee better even though it was cheaper.
Very cool. Yeah this is how I found it. The darker green your referring to is very nice. I think it was code f8 dark green metallic. This is f4 light lime green metallic. Your first car is a favorite of mine as well. My charger is ready for paint, hopefully I can find some time to spray it before summers over. Thanks for checking out my vids
1970 DODGE CHARGER R/T 440 PART 4 BARN FIND RESTORATION
PART 4 ALL BODYWORK IS FINISHED AND POLYESTER FILLER IS SPRAYED.
man, is this going along fast! i love these old chargers i bought a project
'68 pontiac catalina 2+2 last month from work its been sitting for 5-7
years and no one at my shop has ever heard it run. i put in a new battery
and some new gas, and could you believe it started on the first try? the
owner used to race it (they say) and it has a muffler and it still wakes up
the neighbors even while its idling. they call it "the purple people eater"
you can figure out why easily. love thatt 70 dodge!!!
@RUMBLEINN Thanks for the kind words. I guess that the important thing is
that we are both happy with our cars. I didn't want, nor could I afford a
BIG DOLLAR restoration because we drive the heck out of the car. When the
weather is nice. Would you believe that my entire project, including all of
the tools (NEW) cost me right around $2000.00? I even accomplished the
welding with a Flux Core Arc Welder, versus a more expensive GMAW unit. I
will review your vids again before any other projects.
@RUMBLEINN It's funny cause I clearly remember watching your vids close to
a year ago I think when I was checking out other 70 charger resto's and I
was jealous that you were done with yours and mine was torn apart...Funny
the way things go. This is what I do for a living so dont feel too bad if
you see some mistakes or other ways you could or should have done things..
I think you did a great job for being a novice in the autobody field. Your
car looks great...thanks for your comments...Tim Z
Thank you very much for the kind words....I am a seasoned auto body tech
with quite a few restos under my belt....I am co owner of DREAMCAR INC...I
have always taken this trade serious from an early age and tried to excell
in it....This car is my own... being done at my house shop.... Thanks again
and stop back soon for the rottisserie video coming soon, I put her up on
it today and flipped it on her side..!!!!!!! Remember, there is only one
right way to do things....... Thank's again.....Tim
@tripleJ1955 No, actually its finished with 180 and a 220 feather but with
feather fill I will achieve 2 things...the ability to block this whole car
to mirror perfection with out risk of going through my epoxy
undercoat..plus I will never have to worry about shrinkage of any body work
because even high grade urethane 2k primers will shrink into your body work
in time. This is high end repair procedures that will guarantee longevity
of the restoration but do add to the cost of the repair...
@ECCCxMECH Wrong?? not really, but you have taken the photo showing the
temp of 76.5 too literally. I am only showing the novices out there that
these chemicals are very temperature sensitive, and the GLASURIT EPOXY used
is extremely sensitive and will go permanently dorment uncured under 65
degrees and will not come back even if you regain higher temps. The 76
degrees was closer to 80 at spray time and yes, it is a great temp to spray
at because the product will flow flat a little easier.
100% CORRECT, GOOD EYES...I was hoping no one was going to catch that
before I cut them in...The rear valence didn't meet them to my liking so
the decision to fill and then cut perfect lines in after was made...I do
that alot when mudwork runs right to this type of seam, and after its cut
it is beautiful...Thanks for looking out for a fellow car guy though, I do
appreciate it....and check back soon for the rottiserie vid....
Beautiful work, gotta love old mopars, cant wait to see the car complete!!!
If you have any friends with front and rear window chrome for a 66 cuda
notchback my buddy Doug is looking!! His car is beautiful with 499 cu in
big block, and you name it but went thru a nasty divorce and his ex thru
all the chrome out, nasty nasty lady!! Any ideas, let me know,

If the rust is on panels that can be replaced(quarters, fenders, trunk
floors, floor boards, rockers, etc.) then it is restorable. Almost anything
is restorable but i would stay away from somthing if there is no structure
left to the unibody(frame) structure. That can be costly to repair if there
is no structural components left, but sheetmetal is no big deal....
G'day mate, just thought I'd say top job your doing. I restore my own cars
too. Just wish I had the room you have to work in. I'm currently doing a 72
XA Falcon (aussie). I'll post some vids one day. I hope you do your beast
green, remember "green is nice". Cheers from a fellow car guy from down
under.
Yeah, how do you think I feel...The anxiety is killing me..especially since
my good friend is presently building my original 440 to the tune of about
550 horses...I can't get this baby done quick enough!!!! Gonna need an
extra set of skins for the back, they'll be toast the first week....LOL
Yes that 383 does push that old rare Mopar around I get all kinds of looks

im thinking on buying a 1970 charger thanks 2 your answer i know its a r/t
but the person who told me about this car said that the car has to much
rust how i know if the car is restorable¿ haha sorry for my english
Very Very awesome restoration. Keep it up. Just wondering, how do you know
all of this? Your doing it on your own and you know everything to know on
the the things to be done on the restoration. Your awesome.
Man, I shoulda watched all of your videos before I started my project. I
did it the hard way in order to save a couple of bucks. Next time, I will
do it much differently. Nice job, that is alot of work.
Hi car looks good but the rear valance caps recheck your lines you should
able to see the lines do not over fill where they meet I am not trying to
be a ass just helping a mopar guy
Sounds like you have a great ride..that 383 must push that Polara around
nicely..No, it's been a long time since I've even heard someone say 68
Polara 500 2 dr 383 4bbl...great car
Good things take time. Since tearing down my '68 Valiant and starting to
replace rust and do bodywork, I've torn my calf and had spinal surgery,
easy and slowly does it. But the time doesn't matter because for the
beloved (yes our cars) it's never enough time while were working, tinkering
and enjoying the things we love.
