+Kev4PS3 Yes, that is the kickdown on the bottom, which is it's own kit # KD-2727HT. The cable bracket is actually called the spring return bracket part # SRK-4000 and the throttle cable is just their universal 24" cable that you trim to fit.

69 Road Runner Torqueflite Cheetah Manual Valve Body Testing
OK, so the tranny in my 69 Road Runner was recently overhauled. I haven't had a chance to really drive her due to weather, but Sunday was pretty decent, so I ...
Hey man great videos as always. Was gonna ask a couple of questions if your
ok with answering. I just got my Cheetah Reverse Manual Valve Body in the
mail today from Summit Racing. Not sure if I can install it in my 904
Torqueflite this weekend, weather is turning shitty and I don't have a
garage lol but I was gonna ask did you drop your tranny when you installed
yours? Is it possible to install it without having to drop the transmission
and lastly whats up with step 6 when it says you can remove the governor
valves? It didn't elaborate. Can you offer any insight? Is it necessary?
And if so, is there any way to disable them without having to drop the
tranny? Thanks much and keep the videos rolling in, I really enjoy them :)
+Jeremy Knop thanks a lot for the advice. My 70 charger was originally a stick but was changed to a automatic. And since getting a manual transmission cost anywhere from 1200 on up I was thinking could I take my auto trans down take out the parts down to the shell and install this shifter. I say you might as well make the best of it cause I haven't enough money to buy a manual trans. at the moment. Thanks.
+Aziz Lamar yeah it goes on an automatic transmission. your gonna want a ratchet shifter most likly, don't need one but it makes it easier. just take the transmission oil pan off, pull the stock valve body out and put the new one in. I actually just jacked my car up about 5", and crawled under andvdid it in about 3 hours. pretty easy install. just browse YouTube for instructional vids, and also get yourself a Haynes manual if you havnt already.
turn off the ignition slam the ebrake stand on the brakes and pray it stops
thats all you can do really but he fuckin dodged cars like it was his
fuckin job GG old man
+KSI SubSonic right? One time the throttle on my engine got stuck open while driving and I couldn't decelerate. And I just quickly thought, "well I'll just kill the engine(go to neutral, turn off ignition). It worked. Stopped the car, looked at the throttle body, noticed a small twig got wedged up in their. Talk about potential freak accident.
Haha! That's two old pieces of shit off the road. Here's a tip, pop it
into neutral. Fkn rednecks. That's why we have America - as a place to
keep the Americans.
+Nathan Prins Because the engine will rev past the redline most likely and blow itself up, which could cost you thousands. Brake assist uses manifold vacuum for power brakes, but at wide open throttle it's normal for an engine to have virtually zero vacuum at all -- so the brake assist will work as well at WOT as it does with the engine 'off' -- to be clear, that means you will have no power brakes except for 'vacuum reserve assist' and that reserve is there no matter if its off or in neutral. As for the steering column lock with the key, you have like 4 modes: LOCK, ACC, ON, START. When driving you have it 'ON', to turn the engine off all you need to do is move it to ACC and the column will not lock up. It only locks in 'LOCK'. And that's only if this hotrod has a locking column, many do not. Many also do not even have power brakes or power steering to begin with because of the light front end and skinny tires makes it easy to turn and manual brake systems look cleaner under the hood of a show car.
+Nathan Prins Makes no difference when the front wheels are locked up and the car is going only 25 mph -- it will skid straight to a stop in no time at all.
+Steve Gould Steve Its a good idea to pop it into neutral because when I was on my KTM 65cc dirt bike My throttle got stuck wide open on a supercross track so I had to actullay keep the clutch in the whole time when it got stuck untill I stopped the bike. It was fun (Not)
Sorry wasn't thinking. He said pop it in neutral, in the moment I though he meant shift to neutral without clutch, which you can't do at full throttle (at lest in my miata). But yea, if you used clutch it would work!
+garret rees Lmao, if you had a manual transmission you'd know that you definitely can pull the car out of gear at full throttle. Just press the clutch pedal. And if it's an automatic, just move it into neutral.
Lmao, if you had a manual transmission car you would now that you can't just pull the car out of gear when your are full throttle. It just doesn't work with load on the gears. He should have just held in the clutch!
eh just look at "modern feminism" and "pro-choice"....Lena Dunham is a great example. She is a "role model" for feminism and pro choice and raped her little sister from the time she was a baby till Lena was 18 and her sister 11. Putting your hands inside your sisters vagina and making her sit on your face while you masturbate is not representative of any self respecting human being. She goes on to write a book about how fun it was to do these things, makes millions off the book and sponsors 'planned parenthood' ....rape is another animal. but killing fetus's because it doesn't fit your lifestyle isn't a choice, its murder. Sorry for the rant!
+Robus1022 Yep. I find it hilarious when dickheads like Robert slam someone with a particular line of argument then use the SAME thing themselves to try to make THEIR point. Mental pygmy.
+Robert Ruis "The best thing for him to have done would be to turn off the ignition, rather than have the engine screaming at beyond redline RPM's which can bring an explosion and fire to those standing around as spectators. Once the engine was turned off, he still would have had enough residual vacuum to safely apply the brakes and come to a stop." "You have incredible advice that no one has ever thought of until the broken filament in your head illuminated, and provided us all with unparalleled wisdom".
It is very nice of you to make fun at someone's loss and injuries. And of course you have incredible advice that no one has ever thought of until the broken filament in your head illuminated, and provided us all with unparalleled wisdom. The best thing for him to have done would be to turn off the ignition, rather than have the engine screaming at beyond redline RPM's which can bring an explosion and fire to those standing around as spectators. Once the engine was turned off, he still would have had enough residual vacuum to safely apply the brakes and come to a stop.It is sad that you have such an empty spirit as to make light of what happened. Especially when the description says that there were minor injuries.
