just a quick question. I've been looking into exhaust also but the srs
exhaust I see is only for the evo x none that I've seen dual wise for gts.
did you have to fix anything to make it fit if it is the one for the evo x
+Lima Foxtrot Because the wing spoiler was just cheesy and everyone had it. I wanted the car to look special, even though a lot of modded lancers have them.
wait wait wait, czero if you were trying to get as close as possible to
50/50 but installed it on drivers side for convenience, it sort of defeats
the purpose though, no? either way, im confused. to relocate my battery or
not... ._.
well when i say 50 50 im talking about 50 front 50 rear not 50 R, L, although that would be ideal. like i said, it was my daily driven car so i wasnt too serious about weight distribution at the time.
Do not like the look of that install at all. The battery has enough room
to move for the positive terminal to be touching the metal box it's in and
then you're royally screwed.
Why is it even in a metal box in the first place? And after putting it in a
metal box, why is there no protection over the positive terminal?
It'd be 20 times safer not in a box, with a non-ghetto way of fixing to the
car.
I very much hope no-one copies this.
its for when you want to race competitively. i can usually run this setup for track days but some autocross divisions would me hard times in the past and i probably wont be able to run at some tracks if it wasn't in a box. if you are building a car to just drive around the street it really doesn't matter what you do to the car
well i do believe that it is whatever work's best for you and for what you need it, plus it has been there for 5 years so if any one attempts this they'll run good for at least 5 years haha and who makes the rules here anyone can do whatever they want with their car... just saying
yeah that battery was not tied down because its out for the winter to be trickle charged. i put it back in real quick to reply back to someone's request. I know people run battery without a box but its a requirement by a lot of racing clubs to have battery enclosed in a metal/plastic box with battery vent tube. I did not put the positive terminal protection back on just for the video :)
I was wondering if you would recommended an evo to get. I have been looking
at the 8 and 9 for a few years now and it is time for me to pull the
trigger. Or is it all preference.
A random guy here I will say all in preference I'm look at a evo also I'm leaning more towards evo 8 to do a road legal rally car but its more difficult for me to purchase one because of my country laws meh... but I say all in preference man. Peace

Correct. For the evo you want the vortexes to get started at the back edge of the roofline to pull the air down closer to the rear window and then over the wing instead of having the majority of the air detach from the car surface at the roofline and miss the wing.
That is a false statement or at least not a statement that can be applied generally. Vortex generator placement is dependent on where you what the vortexes to be generated and where you want them to impact and what you want them to impact.
Just a quick question it might sound redicules but when puting on the
generator does it go over the base of the antenna or u have to take it off
and just install the clip just like you mentioned
It should as the two cars are based on the same platform but you would need to verify. Without a wing it really is only providing some arbitrary aesthetics and creating drag.
haha thought you were drunk when you started the the DIY. good video
though, def wanna invest in a short shifter, I hate how long n bulky mine
is -_- is it worth the upgrade?
if you want more of a snug fit for the boot, I used the rubber bushings
that I took off the box and just slipped it around the shifter. made it a
very snug fit
