I'm catching up on your videos from last week, finally!
You have dry skin, right? Brushes, especially used in a BUFFING action is
HELL on dry skin. It causes micro-exfoliation, causing the skin to look
dry and flaky. If you use a brush, don't "buff" -- just use downwards
motions.
Using a sponge doesn't exfoliate, giving the best finish on dry skin, in my
experience!
As far as powders -- I've heard that the Nars translucent crystal powder is
moisturizing. But it's translucent and gives a "glow" -- no coverage.
Look for powders that have glycerine in them, they'll be more
moisturizing.
No problem, glad to help! I use a brush for my minerals but again, I just use the downwards motions and it works fine. I've also used a sponge with minerals, though it's trickier. I really need to get a Beauty Blender!!Oh and I've already added that Nars powder to my wish list. LOL!
+Daena O. You are a Godsend, Daena, I swear!!! I'm no longer going to use a brush for my foundations. The feel was just too uncomfortable. I like the sponge a LOT better, for sure. Now I'll look up "glycerine face powders" to see what I can come up with - thanks again!!
Hmmm. Maybe it's because you can let the makeup melt into your skin with
your fingers that the brush isn't too hot. But it can always just take
practice. If you ever want to make anything dewy you can use the makeup
mist. There's a million and one out there but I recommend elf just because
it's cheapest and you won't feel bad if you hate it.
+Eileen Tirado A lot of people have been recommending a mist so I think that may be the way to go and e.l.f. is also the recommendation, so I may go with THAT one, too! Thanks so much! :)
+Michelle Smith The moisturizer I'm using now is Aveeno Positively Radiant! LOVE IT!!
