ehh, how am i suppose to turn this thing on? it was originally my brothers, but he hasn't used it in 1-2 years. what voltage charger does it take? i found a 3.7volt cellphone charger that fits. the charge light is on... but i can't get the screen to come on. i have a 5 year old heavily abused psp2000 that still works, so i don't understand what my problem is. my brother also has 2 net books and an eyeclops mini projector he doesn't use. from this review it seems my psp does more anyway.

I was given this tablet for free and I can honestly say its the most useless fucking device ever built. Its brick slow, its riddled with bugs, the apps are garbage and the touch experience will drive you fucking insane unless you use a rubber mallet. My Archos tablet is now serving a useful life as a coaster. You could communicate quicker with smoke signals than this retarded Android powered piece of shit, its fucking hopeless..

I have the newer Archos 7 Home Tablet A70BHT and there is no way to play YouTube videos on it. The flash player still does not work. The vidoe palyer last close to 4 hours NOT 7 hrs. I bought this to work out in the gym. I definatelry need a tablet to play videos passed 4 hours. I paided $122 on Tiger Direct. This tablet needs to play YouTube videos. As it stands, I have to download, save in an Quick Time format

That tablet is shit. I have it and I'll take my Fire HD and I-Pad 2 any day. I can't download apps on it. What good is that? I can't Skype on it either. It basically just surfs the internet. Even then it freezes constantly. I got it for Christmas in 2010 so I didn't pay for it. It has a very good build quality but it's just not that great.

I have it and its slow as fuck, i flashed a rom on it so i have the android marketplace and i can get apps. :) It made it better but I only use it to watch movies. I just got bittorrent and i can download tv shows and movies onto the device :) I found a use for it XD

its weird how much five years changed....200 dollar tablets these days are way more advance and faster now. Heck even 100 dollars ones are now im sure. If they tried selling this these days it probably have a price of 20 or 30 dollars....

The archos 7-7c is out of production and is no longer supported or sold by archos for almost 2 years. The A70 is vastly superior and affordable now that the A80 is out. The A7 was never a contender next to the A70

you need to have a firmware flashed on it so you can download it form the play store. If you dont wanna do that, just go to 4shared.com and find a bittorent on there and download it directly to your device

It has a RESISTIVE screen not CAPACITIVE therefore no matter what Android OS is installed you will not be able to pinch and zoom as RESISTIVE screens are not capable of multi-tocuh input. Being as you're reviewing this I would have thought you knew this. Good effort though and I agree with RoboTekno.. Zoom out a tad fella.

I've been just using it for a day, this Archos 7 isn't too bad. It ISN'T an iPad but definitely a good Android Tablet you can get for just $199. I am now using it more often than my Nexus One due to its much larger 7-inch screen, lovin' it.

Just so you know, the manufacturer in Shenzen is supposed to sell this device at $180. It probably sells only in big quantities and to companies, but there must possibilities to get this tablet (or an equivalent) at cheaper price than Arnova soon.

He said it will have Android 3.2, but in all the reviews and specifications i've read, they say the tablets will be shipped with Android 3.1, so does that mean the tablet is upgradeable? I also read that some tablets will have 1gb of RAM, and some will have 512mb.

Only 512MB of RAM. ALl new tablets has 1GB+ Using this will not be comfortable with so small amount of installed memory :(

i love these tablets and having almost all of them pocket sized and with kick stands plus the camera on the 70 and the 101 and the usb ports and hdmi out port is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! i think thay red my mind! lol im gunna get the 101 for school! the ipad in for a battle with this divis on the marcket!!!!

Archos makes a very poor product, They just cant give them away at best buy and they have a very poor build. I would stay away. I had the 605 and it broke several times. They are not responsive at all and they cheat you and make you pay for full function with add ins. Stay away

I bought one and with in a month it froze and wouldn't go past the title screen.No problem exchanging it.2nd one worked great for almost 6 months same problem.It was beyond the 30 day return policy for the store.Tried everything on the Arnova website.Nothing worked.Sent email after email for months no reply.10" screen at that price sounded great.Now I have an expensive 10" paper weight.

why in the hell do you make a hands on video when u are complaining that u cant show anything cause u have both hands full! very shitty movie and impossible to understand language! give the camera to anyone or use tripod. give tablet ton a non shaker and use a english narrator.
